You could have all the accessibility toolkits and plugins and AI agents in the world and it still won’t mean much if your design practice itself is ableist.
Unlearning the ableism we are all taught is a much more important part of this work.

It's a great question, and back when I spoke with them, I was excited to consider researching what haptics looks like as a system. But alas they were looking for native mobile devs and I've certainly gotten distracted since then.
What are you using to go live?
When I interviewed with the haptics team at Google, I asked the hiring manager if they had any tools to help teams figure out the right haptics. There wasn't any.

I'm not sure we'll ever get upgrades. I'm figuring many of the restrictions are in place for important reasons. I do vaguely remember someone considering a CSS way to split text (a la splitting.js) but I don't remember much on it otherwise.

Yeah, still requires the text to be split across elements. That's the primary thing I was trying to avoid. If you split across elements, then things become easier for sure.

Fighting against the bandwagon is exhausting. And people wonder why companies aren't innovating. It's because they won't move unless they see someone else do it. It's one thing to meet expectations, but it's another to never improve because of it.
