If I wanted something like "Cities skylines, but it's a space station", would Ixion scratch that itch? (or is there any good game like that?)

Astronomers for Planet Earth are submitting a statement about some of the proposed megaconstellations that would ruin ground-based astronomy to the FCC.
You can read the statement below: 🔭☄️
We talked about the many paths available to those who might be interested in science. There were scientists, teachers, engineers, technicians, and science communicators.
It was a wonderful experience that I hope the students enjoyed as much as I did. #exoplanets 🔭
After the transmission, we talked about astrophysics, science in general, and scientific careers. We discussed how we make these kinds of discoveries and how these messages could be received if someone were listening (in the way we do). 🔭#exoplanets
Then, from the headquarters of the European Space Agency (ESA) in Madrid, we sent these messages using the 15-meter radio telescope seen in the image. #exoplanets🔭
Yesterday I participated in a wonderful event organized by the Astronomical Observatory of the University of Valencia. High school students prepared different messages to send to the potentially habitable exoplanet GJ 1002 b, whose discovery I led a few years ago. 🔭#exoplanets
It appears that famous youtubers are the new royalty from far away countries. Instead of needing my help to take their wealth out of their country, they just want to give me money. It's straightforward at least.
It seems that the famous youtuber Mr Beast has randomly decided to give me 10 million USD! Some people might distrust this because the management email looks like it was just created after the previous 210 previous ones were deactivated, or because it comes from an Argentinian email address. Fools!
This could be us without capitalism
It's so cool to see my student on TV explaining our science, and being brave enough to do It in Spanish 🔭#exoplanets
Is the franchise Mass effect?
Crazy hot take: Vienna is kinda beautiful
Es curioso: hay fraudes y abusos en todos los sistemas, pero los únicos en que se destaca de entrada lo importantísimo que es controlar que no haya fraudes ni abusos es en los que podrían servir para paliar la pobreza.
And the same day we the documents are declassified, leader of the coup dies. If Spain was fictional, people wouldn't believe It bsky.app/profile/elpa...
Spain is an absurdist comedy, part 2. In which we find out that the coup plotters were all drunk
Spain is an absurdist comedy
Other than that, it seems that what happened was exactly what it seemed. None of the legends seem to have any merit behind them, and nothing surprising or unexpected seems there.
Today, the Spanish government declassified the documents by the secret service of the failed fascist coup of 1981 (23-F) led by Tejero. For decades, there have been legends about what "really happened". Today, after unveiling the documents, we found out that Tejero's wife thought he was a moron.
Spending my last week as IAC* researcher in Vienna for the WALTzER team meeting, an ESA F-class mission concept to study the atmospheres of giant exoplanets (*next week i'll move to the University of La Laguna, "almost" the same) 🔭#exoplanets
La parodia ha muerto porque la realidad es demasiado ridícula
The whole thing is clearly born from the 911 call of the Travis incident. Then it is very clear that the game of cat and mouse in the house was designed first, and the story to justify it came later. All of it following the formula of The Shallows. But that game of cat and (dead) mice is good!
I really missed the opportunity to call him "Japeson Vorhees"
The movie is directed by Johannes Roberts, who has spent the last few years one good script away from making a classic rather than fun genre movies. The guy has the eye, the pacing, and the right sensitivity for suspense. However, the stories he writes... throwaway excuses at best.
The movies doesn't have much going on in terms of story or characters (maybe you guessed that), but once the thrills start, they don't stop coming. It is tense and gnarly, and has some really messed up kills. What can I say, I love cheap thrills.
In my quest to watch only the best movies, yesterday I watch Primate in the theater. A movie about a pet chimp that gets rabies and becomes monkey Jason Vorhees... and it's actually a solid horror movie.
Travelled to Berlin to watch Visions of Atlantis live for the first time. Amazing show, loved every second of It!
This is a terrific observation because it’s what a moral panic looks like. If there was a good article to be written on this topic, then someone would do it and there wouldn’t be a market for a million lesser follow-ups
With the help of some colleages, I have drafted a letter for the director of science of ESO about the situation of the latest time llocstion in ESPRESSO. I share It here in case someone supports its content and have comments or want to co-sign it. docs.google.com/document/d/1... 🔭#exoplanets
