And these ppl just aren't willing to put that in. Not to defend them though I also think they're lame and shouldn't do it, but making slop is so easy and only takes a couple minutes of effort instead of spending years to get something with actual artistic substance
I think most of it is just that it just takes a lot of time to get good at it + there aren't many great contemporary resources on production techniques rather than just basic arrangement/songwriting techniques.. getting good or even just okay at music production takes a lot of time and effort [...]
