Why Women Ditch Their Times Subscriptions
Sloppy, sloppy Juneau…..
This. I think it’s a lovely name, anyway, regardless of who he is as a person. I read it honors two of his uncles. Criticize the person’s actions; leave their name, and their family and ancestors alone.
I could throttle a swan.
Seattle’s not the worst place in the world to be stranded for a few days, especially when you can camp on a friend’s floor in Capitol Hill and spend the days wandering and sipping coffee.
Thirty years ago an HIV diagnosis was a death sentence. Today, thanks to the miracle of science (not actually a miracle, just feels that way!) and the hard work of many many people, it's a very easily manageable condition
Suck it HIV! I look amazing
(Get tested, sooner you know, sooner you fix it)
Thank you!
Thanks! I’m actually on my way back to the US though. 😭
I hadn’t considered the challenge of wheeling my suitcase through horseshit when I booked my hotel in Smithfield. 🤣🤣🤣
Haha just please not OUR governor!!
Congratulations!! Twins are the best!! Lovely names.
I am in the Extremely Irritable iteration of grief and it is way more unpleasant and overwhelming to experience than the Devastatingly Sad part. One of the many socially alienating aspects of grief.
This morning I had a fascinating natal chart and astrocartography reading with the insightful and lovely Jessie Rose of Meridian Moon Astrology. I highly recommend her if you're interested in how your position in space and time in the universe might be influencing things. themeridianmoon.com
Péist is one of my favorite Irish words. ❤️🪱🐉
Plenty of oillphéisteanna 🪱 (water beasts/worms). Interesting that both Patrick & Colmcille banished some of these beasts. I think I read one account where Colmcille met Nessie in Ireland & banished her to Scotland but in most stories he meets her in Scotland.

That time Anchorage didn't host the Winter Olympics made for some amazing swag!
Sure, but meanwhile, 12km to the west, Caoimhín Ó Raghallaigh was playing Port na bPúcaí on hardanger d'amore..... www.irishtimes.com/culture/musi...
It’s overwhelming to think of how many people this is happening to across the country. But every action, and every time we speak up about it, does help to shift the culture.
Heard the dreamy and expansive Caoimmhín Ó Raghallaigh perform tonight in Halla na Feothanaí for Scoil Ceoil an Earraigh. It was just as captivating and transformative as I’d hoped it would be.
West Kerry magic never quits.

Gobnait surely supports that theory! Though some see her as another form of Brigid, or part of a trinity with her.
Meanwhile, the data centres go through without resistance.
#AlaskaSky, this is the family that was taken by ICE and deported to Mexico, where they had applied for asylum from after fleeing danger. ADN reported the 18 yr old was separated from the family & locked up in the Anchorage jail, while Mom & siblings were deported. www.gofundme.com/f/help-sonia...
This belongs in the alaska politician backdrop hall of fame alongside sarah palin’s turkey slaughter interview.
The artfulness of two older Cork City men having a vigorous, animated discussion about absolutely nothing.
A black sticker with red text that reads “Dan Sullivan Eats Farmed Fish.” I got the sticker from one of the lovely Alaskans on this site but I can’t remember which one.
I got this from one of the lovely Alaskans on this site (I think back in the days of the other site….) but I can’t remember now which one.
I regularly see people wondering how it's possible that there are so many musicians and writers and film makers and artists from a tiny nation like Iceland.
And the answer is really simple: State funding for art education and artists. I literally get a salary from the government to write books.
As painful as death is, it is beautiful, sacred, & precious—the transition from life to something else our minds cannot even fathom. The best we can wish for those we love is for a good death.
Authentic, compassionate hospice is so worthy of support.
How do we do that in the face of capitalism?
Hospice care is very demanding to provide. The way to support strong and meaningful hospice care is not to shift to a private equity, for-profit model, but to support community-based, nonprofit care.
Fund the legit hospice programs.
There is no place for profit in hospice care.
