A screenshot of the Clip Studio Paint installer showing at 1x scale on a 4k monitor.
@AliothFox Oooh lemme try doing some science then :blobcorgi_excited:
...I forgot to turn scaling on for the installer though. :neodog_googly_shocked:โ Someone get me a magnifying glass pls.
@AliothFox Is it ClipStudio? :wolf_peek:
@puppycouture.bsky.social *smack* uwu
@puppycouture.bsky.social Not so long as you're doing it from the DHCP server and it's outside of the DHCP range. :p If you're doing it ad-hoc on each device then yes, quite insane. UwU
@babbyskunk.moufette.com I made an IP-freely joke earlier today but this is much better
@AliothFox I'm hoping WinBoat gets GPU pass through at some point :soft_thinking:โ I do think there are decent FOSS alternatives on Linux for software people use in Windows, but it's a big ask to be, like, "Hey, change your operating system AND change all of the applications you use [โฆ]
@AliothFox Yeah that used to happen all the time actually. :soft_sweating:โ There's a reason `rm -rf /` is a meme. Nowadays it's safer since support sites are a bit more centralized and curated, but it's still definitely a thing that can happen.

@AliothFox I think a lot of people misunderstand why Linux users tend to use the the terminal. It's not that you have to use it, it's that there are a ton of tasks that are easier in it. :blobfoxmeltsob:โ It's a very slippery slope where you go into it very tacitly to copy a command into it that [โฆ]
I really love Gorillaz, but even then I usually don't do a lot of album listening with them because there are always at least a few songs in the album that don't tickle my fancy.
Holy heck though, The Mountain is just, like, **_transcendent_** =u= <3

The hardest part of using Home Assistant is spending weeks fine tuning your dashboard and making it absolutely beautiful with fantastic usability, but no one ends up using it because you've already made really robust automations that handle basically everything for you. :soft_3c:โ [โฆ]
I want someone to grab me from the back of my shortall suspenders and pull me along when I'm misbehaving pls :soft_reach:โ
Honestly I feel like the default dashboard is a lot better than it used to be if you want something easy out of the box. The problem is that if your smarthome is at all complicated then it's hard for a home automation platform to guess at exactly what you want to do.
@oceanotter I switched to an AMD card and my experience on Linux has been amazing. Mesa and RADV are incredible. That said, hooooly crap my experience in Windows is so bad now. :blobfoxmeltsob:โ I can see why AMD gave up on Linux and just had the community build their drivers cuz jeeze louise [โฆ]
@AliothFox I've been wanting to make an LCARS dashboard for Home Assistant but haven't had the push to do it yet, but this might be the inspiration I need :blobfoxartist:โ
@AliothFox Oh wow, it actually integrates the window pretty well :corgi_detective:โ I bet GNOME apps wouldn't even look super out of place on it if you were running them in dark mode.
@AliothFox omg there's an LCARS DE? :ablobcorgi_bongo_hyper:โ that's _AWESOME_. I'd imagine the theming falls apart a little bit when you pop a window open, but it still sounds really cool as an app launcher.

@mewbab.bsky.social Yeah, I specifically kept it to talk about navigating it because I didn't wanna invite a ton of "well GNOME sucks because of XYZ and nyeahnyeahnyeah" x3 There are legit reasons to dislike GNOME, but the navigation is nice if you've set your system up for it.
I always wonder why people struggle with navigating vanilla GNOME so much. Then I remember that there are a ton of people who don't use gestures on their trackpad or that it's not actually normal to have the super key bound to a side button on their mouse.
To me that's definitely required for a [โฆ]
