You should go watch the stream. Vibe coding success was had... followed by vibe coding failure. Remember to commit y'all! 😆 (4/4)

another late ship, with help from @ichris.bsky.social: we're launching a new podcast at @codetv.dev called The Web Dev Podcast
these are short (15–30 min), video and audio options, talking to experts in tech about what's new in tools + how they fit into your stack

This might explain some outputs.
🎶 Somewhere out there within the AITA sub-reddit.
Someone needs my input and sadly won't get it.
Somewhere out there someone's not self aware.
That Brick app stopped my scrolling so it seems like I don't care.🎶
Screenshot of a Bluesky thread. At the top, Brittany Ellich (@brittanyellich.com) asks, “What are we calling ‘software development augmented by agents’?” and lists options: “Agentic Software Development (the word ‘Agent’ already feels so overdone),” “AI Delegated Development,” “Vibe Engineering (funny but please no),” and “Something else??” followed by “#AI for visibility” and an eyes emoji. Below, a reply from Robert Groves (@robertgroves.com) reads: “Autonomously-Derived Advanced Predictive-Text Oriented Review Driven Iterative Engineering. It’s a mouthful for sure, but luckily it has the acronym ADAPTORDIE which both seems fitting and is statistically the last thing you’ll read after the agents take their final form.”
I don't always come up with amazingly fitting acronyms, but when I do...
Autonomously-Derived Advanced Predictive-Text Oriented Review Driven Iterative Engineering
It's a mouthful for sure, but luckily it has the acronym ADAPTORDIE which both seems fitting and is statistically the last thing you’ll read after the agents take their final form.
I think this is spot on. We don't have terms like IDE Software Development, or Command Line Tooling Assisted Software Engineering. In time this will be just another tool that we naturally consider to be in our developer toolbelts.
But if I'm wrong, can we just call it "Pairing With Agent Smith."
I will not be the one to ask why @jason.energy's resting-murder-face glare fits so well 'shopped into this character's pose. I will let someone else ask that.
It was implemented, but it immediately disappeared. 🪄

Apropos of nothing, and as a moderator of the @codetv.dev Discord, I'm happy to announce an impromptu contest! We need you to draw the new CodeTV mascot: @jason.energy, in a Squirrel-style wingsuit. The sketch that gets the most faves, I'll buy a coffee or something.
What? And not get those sweet Star Trek references! Hard pass. 😆
Nice. This one definitely feels more teleport-y.

Thanks @github.com! I had a blast at #GitHubUniverse #Universe25
Agreed. It's my first time here and at a conference of this size/scale. It's a bit overwhelming for an introvert like myself, but definitely a cool place to be as a software developer.
just put it on Patreon, as I'm doing with everything I write these days: www.patreon.com/posts/quick-...
I don't think teachers and trainers have updated their view of prompting enough. Bigger models are better at figuring out intent, making prompt formulas less important. Reasoners eliminate the value of chain-of-thought prompting, etc
Context & communicating goals are now key to getting good results
