Bear Variant ideas for possible future sprites for Blackmask. This explores a gunner variant of the Bear as a formal navy officer in contrast with the original bandit wielding a club crudely carved out of a tree trunk.
It's indeed a shit feeling. You're not a worse person for not being "the reliable one" all the time because you have a life too. I won't give you pithy words, because I don't know your situation, but remember not to put out more than people bring in to you and focus on cultivating yourself.

Perhaps taking sometime away from posting on sites and places that don't get engagement is a solid idea until you build up the work and craft to post again. Decide on the sites to put on the chopping block and focus your posting on places you can archive your work in a gallery site.
I'd say at that point they don't care that much about the craft of creation. You do have a point about artists complianing about how bad their art is though. Much of it is falling out of perspective of the achivements that have been made and I fall into it myself.
I suppose the first question to ask is what kinda of audience do you want to be fans of you? And what kind of people do you not want as fans? That kinda of curration might be a way of knowing how to show of your work.
