Tonight I've learned that Godot's timer node, the one you write in code, is described as "unstable" by the official docs if it's below 0.05 seconds, and "for very short timers, it is recommended to write your own code instead of using a Timer node"

So now I am forced to go to sleep

Anyways, today's been a journey

I'll stress I didn't fuck up the audio and music balancing, Bluesky just likes to do that on its own

Fun fact:
You can just make your own stream alerts, nobody's stopping you

Further proof that I should not be allowed near tech at any point, I somehow got a boolean in Godot to resolve to true and false at the same time

If my ability to conceptualize art is broken, might as well break other concepts around me, like binary true/false statements too

Gonna adjust Kei-19's icon a bit, the eyelashes kinda make her look unintentionally angry.

Though she hasn't had art in so long that I don't think anyone knows what she looks like, so she's getting a redesign anyways.

I wasn't expecting the thing that is going to cause me to completely crash out of this Godot steam overlay project to be failing to figure out how to make a queue system for alerts

All I want for Christmas is you (to take the shot, Tails)

Side note, I used to write about games and products all the time for my job, and there was of course an editing process, so writing on my own time, for my own satisfaction, without anyone looking things over is a very different experience

-- they're usually pretty personal, so the way I tend to write these things is either a burst all at once (that was the video games one) or it takes me forever to bring my thoughts together.
The next one I've got has the subline "I Have no Editor and I Must Scream (Into the Void)" for reference.

It's been nice having people comment or reach out to me about my blog post the other day.
I generally go into these things as more a way to process my thoughts, so knowing people read them and are impacted enough to have something to say about it is heartening.
