I've been slowly radicalising people in my friend group to install it, if that counts

I've completed Linux at level 1 and tbh I think people are exaggerating when they talk about how complicated it is
This unassuming little game is fantastic, so clever and unexpected. Wow!
Any journalists/streamers want a key for the full game, HMU. Trying to think of people to contact, but having trouble / I'm shy.

Uff - can you turn off the water supply to the house?
Sorry if this is overly pushy, but: I have a cool shell script setup which makes it so you can just double click a windows exe file, and it automatically sandboxes it and runs it in proton. Worked great for playing random unreal games from itch with a 100% success rate for me! Lmk if you want a copy
ah, unreal wasn't useable on Linux then?

proud of you Robert
(I have noticed that there are a lot of people making the change right now who would never have dreamed of it a few years ago - the year of the Linux desktop, at last)
Ahh, sorry sos, there were like 4 people in my timeline today talking about Linux difficulties, I wasn't specifically subtweeting you!
I've tried Unreal on Linux and it works fine! No idea about Unity
not really! Like, nothing I haven't been able to figure out with 10 minutes of googling ๐คทโโ๏ธ
Never used Ableton, but Bitwig seems real nice
I use Ubuntu with Gnome on my laptop and Arch Linux with KDE on my work computer, they're both basically the same at the end of the day
mostly aseprite, sometimes Krita and Paint Shop Pro 9 (using Bottles)
I probably should but haven't really bothered so far
yeah I haven't had any problems with doing that at all
your mileage will not vary, you should just go ahead and make the switch, it'll be grand
just to provide a counterexample; I've been using linux full time for gamedev for over a year, and my experience has been:
- installation is pretty simple
- drivers, etc, everything worked out of the box
- all the software I cared about using works perfectly
- I never have to use Windows in a VM
