the anime sfx-making tool!
It's called ANIMEVOX, in big letters up top.
Then there's the controls:
In vertical pairs:
Left:
Pitch Rise
Rise speed
Reverb
Room size
On the right:
Wobble Speed
Wobble Amount
Tone Brightness
Volume
Next is a row of keys:
Randomize - randomizes the sound parameters
UNDO/ REDO - go back to parameters you liked
Export Wav - self explanatory, it saves a copy of the latest sound to your hard drive.
Then the fun buttons, with cute art styles:
IMPACT, sparkle, beam, powerUP, PON, BOOM, slash, woosh
Each produces a preset sound, which then goes through the fx chain.

Thanks to the great work of a contributor, the long-requested Lookahead functionality is now available for 2D scenes.
Another key change is a refactor of Framed Follow 2D, which should make it a lot more reliable.
3D counterparts of both are in the works for a future release.

A look behind the curtains (or behind the canopy? π).
The collision geometry is completely rigid. To fake the look of physical response, the shader just has a single radial wave that is reinitiated for every impact detected.

Added some automated physics generation for cloth canopies and gave them some poofy feedback effects. Uses just one rigid body - no soft body or cloth simulation.

Can absolutely vouch for this pattern, especially for scripted events, one-offs, or experiments.
We tend to think of code as rigid, or having to be in systems, but this is an imagined restriction. Code can be so much more.
Sometimes "spaghetti" is the most suitable form!

Here's a look at how the mattress physics look using my debug view. A mattress is essentially a 3x5 grid of rigid bodies connected with joints to flex, and then stacked on another grid kinda like 2 pieces of bread, with springs between them for compression

Finally figured it out, and OOF! It's because Godot's property setters aren't called if the property is left at the default value! This is a pretty common gotcha, so watch out!
