Once again reiterating my stance that the only words I want to hear from a Labour MP are "I resign".

Honestly, any analysis of antivaxxers that doesn't start from them being, first and foremost, a hate movement against autistic kids, is wrong from the off.
Experts have cautioned the general public about the dangers of autism acceptance, warning that it may lead to autistic people being treated like human beings.
Youβd think in this era of βMPs face increasing dangerβ there would be more outrage at newly elected Green MP Hannah Spencer being assaulted by transphobes but itβs nowhere to be seen on BBC News app even if you search her name
I'm happy to take that feedback from Labour and hold them all equally responsible.
The picture shows a needle made of bone, it resembles its modern descendants with an eye at one end and a tapered end.
Things used in everyday life are the real archaeological treasures!
This sewing needle was made from animal bone some 13,000 years ago.
Some designs simply don't need to be improved, because form and functions were perfectly matched from the start

Remember: In public facing social media, you don't know shit about DIY hormones, you don't feel qualified to comment on them, and neither do I. If a journalist asks you about it, you don't know shit and you don't feel qualified to comment.
"But surely you can agree that-" nope. No comment. Zip it.
Cis people need to pay attention to the way they communicate this. They freely admit that after all of their research, they came up with zero evidence that HRT was harmful.
Then they banned it anyway, claiming their inability to find a reason is a reason in of itself.
The Cass review, used to justify an ideological decision to withhold medical care from trans teenagers, is throughly discredited.
The Health Secretary and NHS England are lying to patients and their families and to the public.
This is severe institutional transphobia.

And it's really important to note that Wessely's recommendations *worsened* ME symptoms.
And despite that extensive activism, many places in the UK (including in most of London) still reccomend graded exercise therapy for ME/CFS, so the damage is *still* ongoing.
The opening of Beowulf from the unique surviving manuscript of the Old English text, beginning with a large initial 'H'.
Hwaet! The Beowulf manuscript (Cotton MS Vitellius A XV) is now back online.

Don't allow yourself to stew in fear. Take action.
And if you're trans, or have a trans family member - take care of yourself. Do what you can, then rest up and do things you enjoy. Fascists hate it when you live your good life to the full.
Bonus link: young trans people are being attacked on all fronts, in education as well as healthcare. My recent post "Labour's Section 28 is here" explains more, and again provides advice on what you can do.
2) Directly support young trans people and their families to access private care. They are not getting help from the NHS in England, this is a fact.
If you can afford it, donate directly to a young person. I'm already crowdfunding for Isaac (link below). If not, share fundraisers when you see them.
There are two things you can do right now to support young trans people in England.
1) Engage in political advocacy and community support. I've got *loads* of advice on this in my blog post and zine "But what can I do? How to fight the trans panic".
Today's ban on NHS HRT for under 18s formalises a policy that has already been in place - Noone under 18 has received a new prescription for HRT since mid 2024 (I don't know of any since late 2023).
Of course this policy also raises the risk of similar action on private healthcare for under 18s.
Eyy doing this one again this time for HRT
It's actually profoundly similar to the way that eugenicist anti vaccine organisations worked to disrupt messaging around COVID (and previously MMR)
No report in the Guardian about a woman MP being attacked on International Womenβs Day by transphobic fascists after just a week in the job.
They have these βnewsβ items though
To be left dead by attacks is the natural state of the Middle Easterner, while in the Western culture (also Israel somehow) being killed is a major taboo.
People should be REALLY scared by this, it's normalising refusing healthcare to a section of the community for entirely ideological reasons with absolutely no medical reason
Wessely is then appointed in charge of trans healthcare

We need a fundamental reform to try and respond to these dickheads with a pet theory they want to make others suffer for because even when we do beat them on one issue, they move laterally in the service.
...UK government from giving people with the condition funding for treating it as a health condition) instead treating it as a psychiatric disorder.
People with ME start dying. Extensive activism from sufferers of the condition eventually overturns Wessely's beliefs.
The ME/CFS scandal in particular is an example. Dr Simon Wessely, a key figure involved in the scandal managed to successfully lobby the government not to treat ME as a neurological disorder because of his preferred pet theory (which also helped excuse the...

I also want to note that trans people aren't the only community facing this treatment - deaths of black mothers in pregnancy, widespread mistreatment of neurodivergent people and people with chronic illness and many other issues result from a similar combo of political neglect and malice.
His tenure as health minister has been characterised by going to war with healthcare staff and with patient groups.
It's categorically a bad approach for all involved.
