We still use pressure switches like that today, but I didn't really feel like modeling it. I loosely based this one on the laser sight on Snake's Beretta from MGS2, which has no visible pressure switch.
I made the Longslide .45 Auto Pistol moddable by adding a laser sight, mounted old-school style by clamping onto the trigger guard, like we had to do back in the days before Picatinny rails became a standard feature on pistols.
That's what I'm afraid of. I'm leaning towards generic as well.
This gun is based on the Silverballer from the Hitman franchise, and is intended to complement the pseudo-WA 2000 in a new challenge. I'm not sure if this is special enough to be a unique, or if I should just make it a generic "Longslide .45 Auto Pistol"
Barring disaster, I intend to release the next update on April 25, 2026 -- to mark the 10th anniversary of the first mod I ever uploaded.
I modeled a ZF4 scope for the Paratroop Rifle, and made the 20-round mag a mod as well. The default mag capacity will be lowered to 10 rounds.
After. I randomly decided to try the side-loading animation on the Dynamic Entry Carbine, and realized it could also be used to make an FG42.
The demo video:
This FG42-inspired Paratroop Rifle took me three days to make, and now I'm tired...
"We do this not because it is easy, but because we THOUGHT it would be easy."
(Demo vid in the comments)
In that case, I'd probably have simply called it the Scrap Pistol, Makeshift Pistol, or Homemade Pistol 😉
It would be thematically appropriate! 🤣 Although from what I can see from pictures, it looks like the Bastard is a harmonica gun, where the magazine gets pulled all the way through from one side to the other as you shoot.
In my head, I'm thinking it may have a hydraulic buffer system inside to absorb the recoil.
It's the cut-down pistol version of the M1 Carbine that I already showed off a few weeks ago. "Jungle Carbine Pistol" was too clunky a name, so I decided to call it the "Guerilla Pistol"
I shortened the default magazine on the Dynamic Entry Carbine so that the longer one can be a mod. I also gave it a red dot sight and suppressor (Loud to Normal, not Silent)
Armors are not as interesting for me to show on video, because most of their features are passive and don't really have a visible effect. Most of the videos I make are for new things, and I don't think I've ever gone back to make a video about an old mesh unless I just updated it.
I made an optional cosmetic shield for my Captain America-inspired Patriot Uniform, but found that it blocks too much of the screen, so I never went any further with the idea.
Reciprocating barrels are cool, I don't care who you are.
So, this gun ended up going in a VERY different direction from where it started. I originally wanted to unbullpup an ASh-12/ShAK-12, but one thing led to another and I ended up with this very ComBloc-coded 12.7mm Sterling SMG, essentially. (Vid in the comments)
You can always manually overwrite the mesh with the older version 👍
After my mad un-bullpupping spree, I wanted an easy one next. The True Norther is a unique Marine Service Rifle, modeled loosely after the Canadian Forces' C7. It provides a disposition buff, and passively heals your party during combat (Free healthcare for all!)
I like to think mine looks better 🤣
The Strikebreaker's reflex sight has not yet been added to the mega-pack. It's coming in the next update.
And a video demo:
"I warned you kids to settle down, but you had to go and made me un-bullpup your FAMAS too! Are you happy now?!"
The Foreign Legion Assault Rifle is my take on an un-bullpuped FAMAS F1. It also kind of looks like the Gundam Alex's beam rifle from Gundam 0080.
And, of course, a demo video:
"If you kids don't settle down right now, I WILL un-bullpup your WA 2000! Don't test me!"
This sniper rifle was initially inspired by the Rhineland R3000 (itself an un-bullpupped WA 2000 lookalike, built on an AR chassis), but I decided to make the details look more like the original source rifle.
A video demonstration, including what the sight picture looks like:
I made a new reflex sight for the General-Purpose Machine Gun, based on the Canadian-made Elcan C79 optical sight. To the best of my knowledge, the reticle with its vertical post, ranging stadia, and tritium highlights is correct. (Vid below)
I don't use that mod, so I don't know how. But there's nothing stopping other people from doing it, it just won't be me! 🤣
