Also the teacher who told my kid's class that not borrowing from the school library will mean they'll get a bad report at the end of the semester can go kick rocks.
Schools having to pitch instructions/warnings to the lowest common denominator (badly behaved kids/kids with badly behaved parents) means I spend a lot of time reassuring my anxious, well-behaved kid that those messages aren't aimed at them.
