Cartoon of a street jammed with cars surrounded by never-ending low density suburban houses. It illustrates car dependency where you need a car for virtually everything. And the streets are constantly stuck in traffic jams and congestion.
The most insidious thing about car dependency is what it does to us. The more dependent on cars they make us, the more WE’LL fight to defend that dependency from ANY change that would allow other CHOICES in how to get around, because we’re so dependent that we can’t picture ANYONE choosing them.
“…disabled people are actually less likely to drive than nondisabled people and more likely to get around by walking and rolling and taking transit. Car-heavy cities are also disproportionately dangerous for disabled folks…”

Church of Ireland chapel in TU Dublin Grangegorman dates to 1860. It's a high quality construction in calp limestone. High-roofed cruciform interior has a sophisticated internally-exposed truss structure giving a dramatic spatial quality, unexpected in a building of this scale.

The roll-out of the city's new clothes recycling banks should start at last in April, a council official said recently. Complaints about waste clothes strewn around clothes banks spiked early last year – as did questions around where the deposited clothes actually end up.
