Let's swap dragons!
Let's swap dragons!
A shiny red and black nylon dragon suit laid out on the sofa, with the front zipper open, revealing the shiny red nylon interior. The suit looks inviting, tempting someone to put it on and become the dragon.
Go on, put it on; I know you want to...
WIP of a red and yellow shiny nylon dragon fursuit head being built. The photo draws attention to the neck floof that has been pinned into position for fitting.
Started making the neck, and I think he's looking pretty cute already! Needs horns, ears, and everything gluing in place, but happy with progress.
group selfie in the NFC hotel bar where Flynn is wearing his shiny nylon fox suit, and Iβm wearing my shiny rubber wolfdog mask
Can you still say itβs a #FursuitFriday post if neither of us is wearing a βfurβsuit??
Well, I guess thatβs food fur thoughtβ¦β¦ (Iβm sorry, I had to)

A WIP photo of a red and yellow nylon dragon head being constructed. Here, the white cheek spines have been hand-sewn into position and stuffed to give them a nice shape.
I've created a Telegram channel to show more regular updates and WIP photos of the projects I am working on. I'll still post major milestones here, but the channel might be of interest for people who want more of an insight into my workflow, and see how it all comes together. t.me/+BiqhN90P6Fo...

I somehow ended up taking a photo of Crikey taking that photo of you...
What brand is that? The additions certainly look fun!
A red and yellow nylon dragon fursuit head currently being built. The pattern pieces are pinned in position for now, but still need to be sewn together.
More progress - he's coming together pretty quickly!
Work in progress photo of a dragon head. Shiny red and yellow nylon pieces are pinned into position to check the fit.
Snoot!
A dragon fursuit headbase, partially covered in ductape. Markings for the pattern have been drawn onto the tape.
Working on the tape pattern
A foam headbase for a dragon fursuit head. Attention is drawn to the eyes and jaw, which have been lined with a stretchy fabric to keep the inside of the head tidy.
WIP: added the lining for the jaw and eyes. This makes the inside of the head nice and tidy, with no bits of foam showing. Onto patterning next!

Didnβt get that many photos during @scotiacon.bsky.social , but have @statik.bsky.social Zorr, Whisky and @volf.bsky.social for #fursuitfriday

NyFi, the nylon dragon, in a heap on the floor, after just being unpacked.
This is what a dragon looks like after you get home from a convention and start unpacking.
It seems Knutsford Services is the preferred stop for people heading home from #scotiacon - we met so many furries there!
Taking the nylon dragons for a wander round #Scotiacon shortly - come find us round the lobby!
Many fans

I'm amazed how quickly you made this!
Meee :-)
A test pattern for a nylon dragon paw - the seam markings are visible. It is full of stuffing to give an impression of the final shape
Making a pair of dragon paws. The claws are shiny metallic silver, with shiny black nylon for the rest of the paw.
The underside of a shiny dragon paw. This is metallic red lycra fabric, filling with stuffing to make the pawpads extra plump and squishy.
A finished nylon dragon paw, made of shiny black nylon, silver claws, and a plush red nylon lining.
Going through old photos - this was the process of making my first nylon dragon paws, from patterning to creation.
Back to normal. I only really did it to convince myself i could.
Well, that's my Dry January over. A few things I found from a month without alcohol:
- I slept better and felt more refreshed in the morning
- Cravings for alcohol went away after about 3 weeks
- I didn't lose any weight
- Non-alcoholic prosecco is shite
- VRChat is less fun when sober
Forgot to add, the photo is by @crikeycroc.bsky.social!
Two nylon dragons sat at the bottom of a staircase. NyFi is sat behind Zorr and is giving him a hug.
Scotiacon is just a week away - getting excited! Who will I see there? Don't be afraid to ask for some puffy nylon dragon hugs! #fursuitfriday
HDMI was brand new at the time, and I think people just accepted that HDMI cables really were that expensive.
