I don’t know if tmux would have *stuck* with me if I didn’t prefer working in the context of a terminal 24/7. I’m a vim person so the combo of vim & tmux has been a well paired marriage. If I was a VS Code user I don’t think it’s worth it. UNLESS you want long-lived sessions on a remote shell.

Tmux can and does still support scroll-back. I never really even think about that as a potential snag or issue.
