The thing about being a tyrant in this day and age is that it's all captured in HD footage.

The world isn't going to forget the US is as capable of being this marauding brute every 4 years.

Its soft power and trust internationally is done - as is the very international order it itself created.

This has real "Iran had it coming with the way it was dressed" energy, perhaps unsurpisingly.

Behold, Cicerco; the Perineum!

Spot on. Fuck the Yanks.

All this horror he gleefully exports is going to follow you home, long after he's shat his last diaper.

When the next 9/11 occurs do not expect your former allies to be there, not after how you've treated Denmark, Canada and British veterans; or menaced and strongarmed your allies in general.

He was living his best life! I DIED laughing at the scene in Wrath of Isaard where he has an impromptu workout with his arm nemesis who decides to use a thigh press during their plot advancing conversation. 🤣🤣

He does scratch his beard a lot! That and narrowing his green eyes. Lot of squinting going on under Wedge's watch.

One author I would strongly recommend - Dan Abnett; primarily writes Warhammer 40k but easily my fav author even now. Injects a tremendous amount of humanity into his writing. 🙏

Michael Stackpole was a guilty pleasure as a teen. As I turn 40 I have to chuckle at the level of self insert fantasy he was enjoying with Corran Horn - a bearded short guy who has *all* the femme fatales throwing themselves at him in the Xwing series.

Still, glad you're enjoying them! 😃🦾

This is the Yuuzhang Vong right? When Star Wars Legends decided to go as edgy as possible! 😅

Can Americans stop saying "we are better than this" when this is patently, repeatedly and demonstrably false.

Water's boiling. Overthrow the orange wretch before you have ChatGPT powered systems telling you American free elections are a great idea(!); right before Palantir drones and ICE swarm you.

Those aren't jeans. It's a common mistake; the fibrous shell the worm excudes from his entirely compromised immune system has all the look and texture of jeans - but is, in fact, a highly advanced membrane, more similar in nature to black tar heroin.

Mr. RFK is indeed naked from the waist down.

Gastric Flu - but in safe hands under careful supervision.

That or it's nearly feeding time...

Remarkable that "common sense" is so often a dog whistle for Obey the Regime. Orwell was so right about double speak.

[Shivers]:

Brown hair.

It is the color of wet tree bark along the Martinaise canal. Of cheap dye bought under fluorescent lights. Of earth packed tight over things the city prefers not to remember.

Why simply have brown hair when you can have a dirty mocha flop?

Also head to Canada - it's like America, only safer and they can read at an adult level.

I mean it's the Onion it comes with the terrirtory. I think even as poor as American literacy levels are we should assume a basic level of critical thinking.

Though 1/5 Americans can't read, so I think they are safe from the perils of words on a page. Now if only they'd vote now and then..

Whenever I see an American flag or eagle now, given the widespread capitulation of the corporate and political class - "Why *skulls* on them though..."

Hoping you do turn it around, for the record. Have little faith in the average American voter. So few bothered to vote.

Mark's speech at Davos was what the world needed to hear. Huge love to Canada from Ireland.

That most of these witless Nazi's have Irish surnames is both tragic and embarrassing.

Really not sure you are sadly. I love many Americans individually, but the image America exports is work-obsessed, climate denying religious nutcases who choose gun rights over the child safety; whose medical system will bankrupt on the merest whim.

American exceptionalism is a hell of a drug.

I'm not even sure it's all that mysterious sadly! There's patently very little Christianity in a lot of the religious far right. Power for power's sake was always the dogma - even if means cheering on an incontinent, rambling rapist.

Er ist Wieder Da - or "Look Who's Back" by Timur Vermes is about Hitler waking up in Angela Merkel's Germany c. 2014 and proceeding to become a massive reality tv star despite (or perhaps because of) being, well, Hitler.

A useful commentary on vapid celebrity culture, and the tolerance paradox.

What's remarkable ia that Evangelicals have been slowly working to supplant American democracy for decades - then the most decidedly non-Christian, id-fuelled maniac shows up at the last minute (politically) to use the ramp they built to seize power fpr himself. And the establishment simply.. folds.

From a European perspective the next century belongs to China in any case. They may be mercurial, oppressive to their own people and ruthless in pursuit of their long term goals - but America is much the same; albeit less educated, climate denying and more overtly hostile on a whim.

Good riddance.
