Burton's been coasting for nearly 25 years now, his lack of diversity is problematic, and his defense was deeply offensive, but it seems weird to single him out. I mean Joel Schumacher's directoral filmography was very white too, and he got his start as a writer of movies aimed at black audiences.

Just don't let someone like David Ayers direct it. I would have suggested Joe Carnahan to make a Heat style face off between the two, but I think he might be cancelled now.
