It seems like it's deindexing everything but the biggest sites, so it fails at basic tasks like "find a blog post by a specific person on a particular subject, which I know exists"

Happy Mordi Gras
damn this is an underrated post, well done
this is a @themountaingoats.bsky.social song
Comic drawn in MS paint, based on https://www.homestuck.com/sweetbroandhellajeff/001 The first panel shows a man saying "I warned you about kathryn Bro!!!! I told you dog!" The second panel shows a man falling down the stairs. He has Crespo's avatar, and is surrounded by birds (@kathryntewson.bsky.social 's avatar) The third panel is the second panel repeated a bunch of times, very pixelated. The final panel is the first guy again, saying "I told you man. I TOLD you about Kathryn"
when the argument between @davidcrespo.bsky.social and @kathryntewson.bsky.social on my timeline enters day three
they're so cute!
hey cool post did you come up with it yourself?

Screenshot of Apple Fitness telling me that my trend of burning calories has gone down from 502 to 261
Have you started getting the judgy notifications yet?
"Your average activity is trending downwards!"
yes I know I'm in the hospital thanks
Screenshot of a Google AI overview reading WGSL does not explicitly feature a dedicated tail_call keyword, but the compiler may optimize tail-recursive calls into loops to avoid stack overflow, particularly for simple function tail calls. While not guaranteed by the specๅฐพ call optimization (TCO) allows the return of one function call directly from another, saving space (yes, that is a Chinese character in the middle of the response)
google's AI overview: "Get ready to learn Chinese, buddy"
(ๅฐพ is apparently "tail")
screenshot of a large switch statement matching on an opcode. Each opcode has an implementation that reads and writes to a reg array, but they're all often different shapes (different numbers of arguments, etc).
Screenshot of a similar switch / case table, but every branch has exactly the same form of "tmp = op_NAME(lhs, rhs, stack)"
tired: "Just trust the compiler, it's smarter than you are"
wired: "You are going to generate a fucking jump table, so help me god"
(this has made my GPU bytecode interpreter 1.5ร faster)
a secret third thing
A picture of a shot from "The Last Of Us" (TV show) showing a scenic forest full of pines and a river. The caption on the screen is "10 miles west of Boston". This is funny because in reality, 10 miles west of Boston is... still basically Boston.
ah yes, the scenic foothill mountains located due west of Somerville
and here's the kickerโ

smdh it should at least use jq
buy a domain name for it, that's always the right first step
I love seeing echoes of Discourse of which I'm blissfully unaware
haha I'm in danger
ssh is an obscure but widely-deployed command. It stands for Secure Snake Home and was made in the 90s to securely play snake online
I made a massively multiplayer backend for it with support for thousands of concurrent snake players
ssh snakes.run to join!
tired: techbros reinventing the bus
wired: techbros reinventing the cafe and/or vending machine
exactly, this guy gets it!
Of course, this would be inefficient to do for just me โ you'd want to have larger caches that could be used by multiple people, to amortize the cost of restocking them.
That would be a lot of effort to do for just myself โ I think you'd want to serve more than a single person, to amortize the cost of restocking (which then requires a greater-than-Tupperware sized physical footprint).
