Fucking incredible.
This didn't start as a subtweet, but it is now a subtweet.
To be fair, this may be giving *my criticism* too much undue credit and I really am a nitpicker, but I feel like building an entire section of a piece on provably false grounds doesn't require a prodding at the top to fall over when a single twig is holding up the entire shebang.
I've pretty much only seen it used as a defense of bad writing as good writers aren't nitpicked, they're usually just told they're lying straight up.
"nitpicking" as a term feels like a word bad writers lean on when they're told their writing is bad but that's just me.
Something I should make an effort to do is to actually make an effort to find out what it's like instead of going off of people I knew when I was 6.
