It is not BAD and there is still a lot of Sam in there just that the song has a ridiculous conceit that I, a Eurovision fan who eats ridiculous conceits for breakfast, cannot get past

Had a listen to the UK #eurovision song...
It's not *great* but is an enjoyable song to listen to, plus you get the title stuck in your head quite quickly... I just kinda wonder how more eccentric and different the entry could have been left to LMNC's own devices...?
It is not "not good" but it is a song written for Eurovision rather than a song he wrote being entered in Eurovision
I say this with the greatest respect as an autistic person, but there is no one whose life is made better by repeating "ein zwei drei" unless there is an elaborate backstory the song does not take time to set up. (Maybe some numbers saved his mother from a bus accident?)
The music is good though.
BBC here is your problem:
- you get great artists with original sounds who write their own work
- you make them work with "Eurovision" songwriters to produce a "Eurovision" song
- we end up with something where we can see the seams where the artist has been stuffed into the Eurovision mold

Once again men I am begging you to go to actual therapy rather than enter Eurovision with a song about how singing in German is your therapy
