Tough decisions, politically

But you make it with the best of intentions, you follow through, and stick to it

So you have to drown out the bad faith actors like local tabloids who only want to see failure πŸ‘

As promised, roadside gully emptying is now once per year, up from the historic once-every-4-year cycle

Our area is being done as of now and over the coming days

🚨 Please make sure your vehicle(s) are off the road or away from any gully to make sure it can be cleaned/emptied

Thank you

Peak Cherry Blossom 🌸

Whole trees on urban and suburban streets turned into clouds of pink, brightening up paths and streets for a short while

Someone's foresight 30 years ago is ours to enjoy today

Right now, it’s the cherries’ moment, but not for too many more days πŸ™‚

It's also why people should really call out NIMBY objections to solar farms on spurious grounds.

It really is something to see politicians, commentators and media outlets whose whole identity is based on being so-called β€˜patriots’ frothing with excitement as they line up to back a deranged megalomaniac who consistently attempts to belittle and bully the country they claim to love

Abingdon's Radley Road neighbours angry at parking ban to speed up buses The restrictions to parking have been made to help speed up bus journeys along the road.

I love the way expensive new roads are celebrated, even if in business case terms, they only shave a few seconds of journeys.

But when it is a modest scheme to help to get buses moving, that same argument is deployed against.

Sorry Bub, it's not your road outside.

P.s. my long term dream is to find a site locally where we can emulate what they have in Faringdon for regular cycle training

I fear this would be a multi year endeavour and probably wait until post local government reorganization!
