Last week I decided to finally delete my LinkedIn. Needless to say it was a breath of fresh air.
Def will keep my social focus on Threads, X and BlueSky.
Instagram too, but yeah. LinkedIn has always been the worst platform in my opinion. 🤷🏿♂️
I've been going through a lot lately which has been giving me a lot of material to post. But tomorrow is my birthday and will mark my 45th year in this world.
Think it's time to stop posting negative and start sharing progress.

We are mortal human beings. Expecting "perfection" out of anyone is insane.
Everyone makes mistakes, whether you see it now or later.
Nobody is perfect, and we never will be.
But what people can do is put out something great! It might not be "perfect", but it will be great!

So far with my business, I have ditched Photoshop and GMail to switch over to Affinity and Proton. Also focusing on making Brave my primary browser.

You hired a web dev, content writer, graphic designer, etc. You never hired a mind reader.
Words like "you know what I want" is a terrible response and WILL lead to mistakes.
This is marketing. Not a puzzle game. Be clear with your expectations and answer questions with asked.
Pushback is not a form of disrespect. If an employee pushes back, why not ask them if they know of a better way to do the request?
If you get upset with pushback, that's more of a "you" problem.
Believe me, I know but I've grown from it. Always take pushback as a way to grow.
You know, there are moments that happen in your life that let you know it's time to make a change immediately.
Because if you keep delaying it, the situation you're in is going to kill both your mental and physical health.

Vibe posting is def the way to go in my opinion.
This is why I love Buffer. I legitimately came up with posts for the entire week just by typing my thoughts when they're in my head and scheduling them for 3 platforms. Saves so much time!
Since I'm trying to get away from Adobe products, I decided to start teaching myself how to use Affinity from Canva. Literally in just a few hours, I almost feel like I'm better at using that than I was at Photoshop now. Definitely well worth the switch!
Having a long, drawn out websites is pointless.
If someone can't see your services or prices on your website in 30 seconds or less, you might as well kiss that client goodbye.
Stop bloating your website with useless information like case studies that no one reads.
Everything is not a fire to be put out.
Unless it's a life or death situation(which nothing in the digital realm is), everyone, and I mean EVERYONE, can wait.
If you're running behind on something, it is not your contractor's responsibility to fix it immediately.
It's yours.
Before you offer a new service for your company, learn how to do it yourself.
Stop offering services that no one in your company has knowledge of.
Be a good enough client to your contractor that you don't feel like you have to gate keep their services.
If you're good to your contractor, they'll more than likely keep you as a top priority, regardless if they have other clients knocking down their door.
The second you plan on asking someone to do something outside of their job description is the second you should be planning on giving that employee a raise.
The main reason mistakes happen is because you send in or allow vague requests.
You can save so much time by
1. Being clear with what you want
2. Actually answering a question without beating around the bush
Something can be done in 1 shot if you're clear with your request.
Sending a potential client a follow up email after you sent another follow up earlier in the week is the quickest way to be sent to the spam folder.
So many people want to add more services just to attract more people. Why not just improve the service you have and work on mastering that one craft?
Stop trying to be a jack of all trades but a master of none.
Do you remember when people were saying "I think my phone is listening to me, i'm getting ads for stuff I spoke about" and people said "They arent listening to you, they're just this good at predicting your interests"?
Well, it happens they were doing exactly that.

I think the real issue this time is being undermined so much, micromanaged and to the point where me and my team have our ideas shit on, then stolen months later without credit.
I want to create an environment where everyone is appreciated and making a livable wage.

Today marks 5 years since I made one of the hardest decisions of my life. When I left my job that I had for 10 years.
Today I'm at a crossroads at the same type of decision but only being at the company for 4 years.
I need to think of myself first and stop working to make someone else rich.
