A big draw of the game-design-by-A/B-testing type thinking is that it absolves you from having to form your own opinions & taste. It allows you to outsource the most difficult part of any creative endeavour: actually believing in your vision.

joking aside, that was why i was looking forward to this game actually. this was a chance to start fresh, without all the past characters, locations, and gameplay conventions to hold the game back. that was way more interesting than "hey guys it's mega man again"
