My owner received flowers and I determined that they were not edible. I watched them with a sharp eye for a while to see if they would transform into ham or treats. Unfortunately, no miracle happened. But at least they look good next to me.🐈⬛

Anna Komnene (1083–1153), one of the world’s first major female historians.
Wrote 𝘈𝘭𝘦𝘹𝘪𝘢𝘥, a detailed account of her father Emperor Alexios I Komnenos’s reign. Her work constitutes the most important primary source of late 11th/early 12th century Byzantine history & of the early Crusades. #WHM
Anna Komnene was also exceptionally well-educated in philosophy, math, medicine & the sciences. Due to her education, the 𝘈𝘭𝘦𝘹𝘪𝘢𝘥 has scientific detail incl. detailed descriptions of military tech (Greek Fire), medical treatments & geography (topography, weather patterns). #WomenInSTEM #WHM #History
