Something fun arrived the other day!
This doesn't mean it's immediately available (still some calibrations and testing to do) but this does mean it will be available VERY SOON! Finally, truly holographic AND weather-resistant stickers! Very excited to try this stuff out :]

Yeahhh, that doesn't sound like the best design choice! Too much steam build up or water splashing and that could have internally cooked things, too. That would suck!
If the USB port was badly smacked when something was plugged in, there's a small chance of an international disconnection on the PCB, but I'd bet more on the cable being faulty.
That situation sucks!
Oh no :( That picture does look quite beat up. Was that USB only used for power, or data transfer, too?
If just for power (and if you're able to) power off the machine for a couple minutes, then power it back on to reset any internal resettable fuses.
Slight damage to the housing of the USB port shouldn't cause any read/write issues. From what we can see at least, that port should still work! You may need to fidget a bit more to get the USB to slide in, though.

Makes sense and all but I still agree. There should absolutely be an alternative! I do realize it is a commonly used pigment for the color white. I mostly just found it interesting/funny to see when I got curious and made the association lol
I used to be a sucker for Food Coloring, but lately... I try and avoid it. Actual cancer for no real reason. ── The additive color "white" in these candies (which I've since thrown out) is the same in my new White UV Printer Ink. I found that to be rather interesting.
1000%!!! Recently, Progressive wanted to raise my insurance and I don't even drive all that much.. Their reason was "because of the area I live in" and this seen to be a better part of town. Insurance is incredibly stupid. Definitely do NOT recommend Progressive, or Allstate for that matter.
I am forever at the mercy of local suppliers. I tried to stop dealing with international suppliers ages ago and yet they still some how managed to get me material faster than local ones (which I'm sure also source over-seas..). Major UUGH.

At long last, part of my material sampler order arrived!
I've now access to [hopefully] the final White vinyl I'll be offering on the new printer. The 2nd roll is 1 of 2 clear vinyl's to test & I'm not at all impressed. Too flimsy & the roll arrived partially defective :/ Further tests required.
After the past couple MONTHS of hair-pulling, I've finally been able to order ~$2,300 worth of vinyl materials. Unfortunately, that only accounts for 6 rolls. ☠️ 2 holographic, 2 plain white vinyl, and 2 types of clear (for tests & comparisons).

Definitely recommend it! This one has a mop function too, which is nice. It mostly just drags a wet cloth all over the floor, though. lol

Very true. It's just a wireless touch LCD and bluetooth mouse/keyboard. The nex dock works with USB-C as well and it is a smoother experience! Can't wait to see how that Pi PC thing works for you!
That's insanely neat! A whole laptop shell for the Pi. It reminds me of my Nex Doc (basically the same thing) for my Samsung phone's desktop "Dex" feature. Same thing, but it uses my phone as the processor.
2/2 ─ I'm also including the Bluetooth Dongle accessory, and an extra Laser Shield case that's not pictured. All cleaned up and re-packaged as brand new after only being used about 2-5 total hours. I ended up not using it and later upgraded. This one, in theory, can be hand-held onto surfaces!
