Our little podcast is live on the Twitch box!
Tonight, we're talking to Oliver Brackenbury and Molly Tanzer about New Edge Sword & Sorcery, their projects, the S&S subgenre, and more.
Come hang in chat. Ask your own questions! Let's go!
twitch.tv/alphabetst...
I'll be on this stream in about 35 minutes with @shaunduke.net to interview @obrackenbury.bsky.social and Molly Tanzer about modern takes on the good old fantasy subgenre of Sword g Sorcery!
About the only good thing I can hope for is an interest rate as low as the one I got during COVID...
One of my favorite places to be is my little Discord channel for my stream. All of the AlphabetStreams gaming crew hang out there to chat about games, movies, and more.
If you're interested in joining, all are welcome. We're a kind (and very silly) community!

I don't even care if it has any chance to pass. Articles of impeachment should be submitted in Congress yesterday...
This absolute ghoul is going to kill so many innocent Iranians in his imperialistic bid for power. Remove him.
Co-hosts @adrianmgibson.bsky.social & Greta Kelly were joined on the show by @carissabroadbent.bsky.social, where they chatted about romantasy, self-pub to trad and more. Stay tuned this Sunday for info on our first episode with Carissa.
All episodes available in audio/video.

Promotional graphic for Daggerheart stream Against a background of a jungle with a overgrown temple, the Daggerheart CGL logo of a potion bottle with blue flames. This afternoon I'll be streaming as I work on some high-tier environments to go in my forthcoming environments book for use with the Daggerheart rules.
1pm EST at twitch.tv/turbotango and on YouTube tomorrow morning.
Today in shit that literally doesn't matter...
What an utter waste of the court's time.
Out of spite, I'm calling it oat milk forever. The dairy mafia can kiss my ass.
Using Krenko, Mob Boss to pop out 21 goblins is one heck of a way to defeat my kid's deathtouch Fynn deck.
Definitely love this goblin deck. Wish it could stand up to the best meta decks cause it is so much fun when it is working!
Part of my hesitancy is the cast. Which cast are coming back? If it that guy, I will actively avoid it.
Would have drooled. I can't type...
10 years ago, I would be drooled over this. Now? I dunno. 50/50...
There are few things more delightful than a lively chat while streaming games!
Come join me on one of my stream nights (W/Su at 6 PM Central). Cheer me on as I try to win at Marvel Rivals or avoid deathsquitos in Valheim! Good times!

I'm lucky this one isn't painful. It just feels like one of my ears is under water...
This week, on LIGHTSPEED:
"The Devourers of War; or, An Excerpt from the Cookbook of the Gods" by Oluwatomiwa Ajeigbe: www.lightspeedmagazine.com/fiction/the-...
I got some kind of cold or virus, and it has left me with lingering lung symptoms and this damned ear infection. I hate it.
I'd very much like to not have an ear infection anymore.
OK, thanks.
Part 1 of my novella "Where the Dream Train Goes" is out in the science fantasy issue 452 of @bcsmagazine.bsky.social, with Part 2 dropping next week. The story is a very personal secondary world fantasy about living on the autistic spectrum and how people continually steal the dreams of others. 1/
And so it came to pass that the boys and I went live on Twitch for an evening of The Quorum.
We're chasing dubdubs, talking about life and geekery, and generally being merry and delightful.
Come join the adventure. Cheer us on. Bring snacks!

Finally getting around to S2 of Fallout.
I'm hoping for some comeuppance this season. Some monsters deserve it in this show...
For those curious about my Rakdos goblin deck in MTG standard, this is what I'm working with:
moxfield.com/decks/3AvwNW...
It's not 100% unique (similarities to other decks doing the same). It's fun to play, but vulnerable. Not sure it can be improved much. Certainly not really standard viable.
Tonight is a stream night, y'all!
I'm still in recovery mode from this blasted cold. On week 3! So while changes are a-coming to the stream, tonight will be an evening of The Quorum.
We're chasing dubdubs and trying to have fun. Join the adventure. 6 PM Central!

Just so y'all know. I'm totally not ignoring you. I had 3+ hours of teaching, parent-teacher conferences for my kid, and other prep, so I just...lost my energy for socials. Definition reading all of this and finding it super interesting, though!
If you've ever wanted to be immortalized on a wiki, now's your chance.
The Histories is an encyclopedia of totally true stories about real people. It's full of mystics, space travelers, etc.
Read it! If you like what you see, buy yourself (or a friend) an entry! #writing

That is certainly one I would consider if I were teaching a novel from that era. That as Space Merchants.
Yeah, I usually teach it as a truncated history of the genre from the 1920s to the present.
Also: I lied. I teach Golden Age in short form. I haven't taught a novel from the period in years. Not sure I will.
And for those who don't know how I teach: I fill things in with short stories. I just think the short story alone is not a sufficient way to experience SF literature.
Anywhoodles.
