visual bandwidth is significantly higher than auditory bandwidth for humans; assuming we still have to process information LLMs produce im not sure this is a reasonable hypothesis
unironically the best summer of my life was before my 1st year of grad school; every friday when I came home from the lab I’d sit on the front porch of my apartment complex with a pack of cigarettes and a six pack.

most discourse I’ve had around bsky ends with “… if the decentralization thing doesn’t kill it.”
I’m pretty convinced that the biz here is to aggregate community and then sell atproto servers to large media cos so they can own their content but implementation is invisible to users cc @pfrazee.com

problem is it’s intuitively difficult for product owners to understand whether their product is actually good, you only get that from customer & user feedback. so the two are intertwined; optimizing for retention etc. actually helps you overcome the blind spot
