So there are my April Fool's day voice acting skills that have nothing to do with voice or acting.

but that is why its important to learn to have fun in those moments and be goofy and silly sometimes. Voice acting is a great joy and learning how to step back and get back into the fun is super important for anything in life.
4.) Learn to have fun - I see so many times folks get stressed and nervous about acting. But the most important thing with this gig is to have fun.
Sometimes that takes effort to learn to find the fun in things that make us nervous. Its okay to be nervous and anxious to start
But you will save yourself a ton of hassle and time by learning how to properly research and search.
Also its great when you are working on learning a character because sometimes finding information about an environment or learning about history can build on a character.
You can learn a ton just going on the VAC Discord and using Discord's search feature. Need a mic? Search recommended mic and voila you will see tons of answers.
Learning to find correct information from experts independently is vital.

2.) Research - Being able to research and find answers to things on your own is vital and will save you a ton of time and headache. Just make sure you are searching in the right places.
Search Engines, Discord Search bar, Reddit search.

1.) Reading - By far one of the most important things to have as a voice actor. You will be reading scripts, casting docs, contracts, agreements, NDAs, etc etc...
Being able to read and comprehend these things is vital to succeeding as a voice actor.

I don't think you "need" to register to a specific place or thing, but those types of things help you be fair and is a commitment to do things to be fair.
The best thing to do to be fair is
rates.gravyforthebrain.com - Follow rate guidelines. This will ensure you are paying standard rates. If you can't afford these as well that is fine. These are big company rates. Actors are often flexible but knowing where fair is can be helpful.

Then just be reasonable to work with, set reasonable deadlines, and treat your actors good.
Overall fair is treating people the way they should be treated.

The studio proposals are SO grimy. Here's a direct example that they clarified in negotiations:
If they prompt an LLM with 'Harrison Ford', he gets a chance to refuse, all sorts of protections, pay, etc.
If they prompt with 'Indiana Jones', he gets NOTHING. They can just take it.

Rockwool is mineral insulation that goes inside the walls. With its fire-resistant and acoustic absorption properties, it is a well-suited material for home theaters and nurseries.
