Making Ben and Rey siblings, while already done with Luke and Leia, would harkon back to the Dark Empire series. Instead of trying to save Ben as Leia saved Luke, Rey gives up on him due to not having the confidence in the jedi way herself. It would be a nice callback to the EU as well as the OT.

Further explanation: the movie tried to snip or undo the mystery boxes of TFA but all it did was lead to a weird series of events which basically wasted everyone's time. It was a glorified BSG season, but not as good. The best part was Rey, Ben, and Luke's relationship.

The best solution to the Poe arc is to reveal that there was actually a traitor, and because of his temper tantrum, the actual sabotuer reveals himself/herself to him and tries to recruit him, and Poe delivers him/her to the bridge; then Poe takes the bridge anyway because he thinks Holdo is a spy.

Well, you wouldn't have half of the movie be an agonizing slog as characters act overdramatic for no reason.
Rey's part in this, along with Luke, was fine imo. Poe's whole arc was terrible since the first thing he did was save the fleet. If there was no Crait, the movie would've ended differently.
