A dark blue celebratory graphic marking the 5-year anniversary of Her Maths Story. The HMS logo appears at the top. Large white text reads “5 years” in the centre, surrounded by yellow star shapes. Additional text highlights milestones: 99 contributors, 200K website visitors, 194 countries reached via the website, and 4.9K followers across social media platforms.
5 years ago today, Her Maths Story went live with our 1st story. What started as a small idea has grown into a global, supportive community celebrating #WomenInMaths. We’re deeply grateful to everyone who has shared, read, supported & believed in this journey. Here’s to the stories still to come 💛✨

Thank you for this comment—and for engaging with the post so thoughtfully. It means a lot that the recursive framing resonated, especially coming from someone with your experience.

I think I will often use dialogue to make mathematical content more accessible, without hiding the scaffolding and ladders, showing only the finished building, but rather showing the sometimes difficult and intricate thought process.

By the way, I will try to write more often for my blog this year. I only do math in my spare time, and I didn't have much of that last year.

Hello everyone, if you were wondering why I changed the URL of my blog for a while from www.piecesofmathematics.com to www.francescomacri.com and back to the original name: it was due to technical difficulties.

Is there any university that has made a thoughtful, ethical and critical approach to AI one of their core values? That is deliberately not falling for the hype, and instead placing a premium on human creativity and thought? I feel like this could be a real USP these days, and also please hire me!
