on my ext4 desktop, i once deleted my entire local documents folder. nothing that important was in it, but if it was zfs i could have restored the snapshot like instantly. i think i just need more ram for my laptop...

on one hand, it saved ALL my data when i accidentally rm rfed my drive one time. on the other hand, i have 16gb of ram and am constantly running out with programs freezing :neocat_googly:

using zfs as the root on my laptop is a decision that has haunted me since i did it in 2022

@doskel my windows install is mostly for vr, so i got the virtual desktop, oculus tray tool, vrc creator companion, vrcft, k2vr, stuff like that. also wiztree is better for file management than windirstat in my opinion
