I very much agree. We have 3 cats that are simply there for us when we are troubled or sick. Without being asked, they settle onto a bed and radiate cat, sometimes purring but not always. We are worth sitting with by these loving felines and that is enough. No words, just presence ❤️‍🩹

The reason I think I’d like Cadence is I love black cats. Especially enigmatic black cats. Cadence is such an one. Also she makes me feel like I’d have to earn her trust.
