SEVERE THREAT: Most of southeastern Louisiana and all of southern MS are included in a Slight 🟡 risk for severe weather on Saturday. An Enhanced risk 🟠 has been added northeast of us. I wouldn’t be surprised if the higher threat is expanded further into our area as we go through the week.
SEVERE THREAT: The Enhanced (Level 3 of 5) risk for severe weather has been expanded south to include most of the North Shore and southern MS on Mardi Gras day. The greatest risks include damaging wind gusts 75 mph+ and a strong tornado (EF 2+). Timing is from 4 PM - 10 PM.
