Joey with their hair up in a white graphic tee and navy cardigan. The room they are in has very warm lighting. A wine glass sits in front of them.
Landed a summer job at a govt archives I never thought I’d get 🥳
Silly as it sounds, a huge part of it is thanks to this whole games archiving/preservation/scanning deal!
The White House just posted a video mixing real footage from the Iran strikes with a killstreak animation from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3
feeling pretty vindicated in thinking these games were nothing more than gutter propaganda for the past couple decades
They're calling them the 9 Joey Games
#My9Games
These are the games I think have had the biggest impact on my psyche and who I am as a person today
I took matters into my own hands
Three of the four lots were secured, the last one went for a comical amount of money but it’ll be nice to get a good chunk of the magazine scanned! Thank you to all who donated or shared
Making one last call for donations, these will of course all be digitised by myself if won, and every little bit helps

Seeing my site touch tips with Fox News and NatGeo is bizarre. Also bizarre is keeping my pitch guidelines behind a membership.
That stuff's all on my website and I don't think most freelancers want their work near my writing on school shootings and sexual violence.

GameWalker is a magazine I've been passively collecting and rarely see show up in particularly large lots. You can read four issues I've archived here: archive.org/details/@chu...

This interview comes from Gamer Handbook which I scanned last year! Be sure to check it out, I was quite chuffed to come across it

I try not to think too much about the cost 😉
If it’s any help for the future, myself and my volunteers have been documenting interviewees in my (to be launched) database

I feel that it's been long enough that I can remind everyone that Wikipedia shows you the canonical way of playing your Monster Monpiece waifu game is to jerk off the PS Vita:

I’m so glad to see this translated, thank you so so much for your work on this and everything else! 💛
Over 50 issues of GameWalker magazine issues are currently up for auction. I am fairly confident I’ll be able to nab them, but if you’d like to help secure them, any donations would be greatly appreciated!

Description Game Walker is a comprehensive games information magazine aiming to be more elevated and 'high-class' than other games magazines of the time. Like other publications in the Walker series, it contains general information in addition to games coverage. Each issue features a different idol or talent, and its readership broadly consisted of younger adults who were comfortable with games already. The content structure focused more on development of games and interviews rather than strict reviews. This included context of games and their genre, as well as annotations to make the material easier to consume for those unfamiliar with certain titles. As Game Walker's revenue did not come primarily from advertising, editors were more free to directly address concerns with the games industry, or their problems with certain titles. Game Walker was intended not just for games players, but for those who wished to get into games. Special features included beginners guides for games, spotlights on games parents could play with their children, and content aimed at female readers. The intent therein was to expand the readership as broadly as possible.
For the curious, I have a description of the magazine collated from a couple sources, and four issues uploaded: archive.org/details/@chu...

Sort of, but with a broader focus and specific editorial style. I’ve got a full description of the magazine here
I am fairly certain that if I acquire all the lots currently listed that I will have the complete run barring some special issues?
