Sharing this with my students so I figured I'd also share it with everyone here.
Hopefully this image is still relevant given Google's changes. Save this on your computer or phone and refer to it as needed.
I more I play with this stuff the more useless I realise it is. And itβs only going to get worse as it starts feeding on itself.

βEVs enjoy a global image that is entirely unjustified. The pitch β buy an EV and save the planet β is just nonsense. Their presence will still disfigure cities, pushing politicians and developers to build new parking lots, roads and highways to gratify the endless swarms of drivers.β
IMPORTANT: Finland is building the worldβs largest heat pump to warm homes in Helsinki. It would decarbonize the cityβs district heating system by end of 2026.
βHelsinki has set the ambitious goal to become carbon neutral by 2030, and transitioning our heating system is crucial to achieving this.β

Donβt see how this can work without fundamentally changing the way the internet works.

Never forget, if you design a city for cars, it fails for everyone, including drivers.
If you design a multi-modal city that makes walking, biking and public transit attractive options, it works better for everyone, including drivers.
INCLUDING DRIVERS.
The βwar on carsβ has always been a lie.
