I just want to be a person doing person things for as long as I can, with the knowledge that, for a variety of reasons, it could end at any moment. And I'd like to help other people be able to do that too. It's easier to do the work against the horrible shit when you remember why you're doing it

I really hope my dopey account with drawing prompts and talking about music and cooking and stuff is helpful these days. I don't think I need to talk a lot about the horrible shit happening; if you're on here, you're aware of it, and smarter people than me are talking about it

So Philip Glass just joined TikTok. He only has like 4 posts and they’re simply him in what I assume is his living room playing the piano. First comment on one I saw was “your piano is too close to the fireplace, you’ll dry it out” and if that’s not the internet in a nutshell I don’t know what is.

The pre-chorus bass riff is my sound check/“oh can you just play something” bit, it’s got such a good little groove on its own
