I have all of SK's books. The Dark Tower series is the only set I've never read, as I couldn't get through the Gun Slinger. Probably his worst writing, and I enjoyed his earlier Bachman stories.
I think King hated it, even though he directed it :) The worst film associated with him was the Lawnmower Man, I think - they just used King's name to sell tickets - the film had nothing whatsoever to do with the book...
Couple of Easter Eggs from Duel:
1) In the scene where the driver mistakes a pest control car for a cop, the name of the business on the car is Spielberg spelled backwards.
2) The sound the truck makes as it goes over the cliff is the same one the shark in Jaws makes when it sinks after exploding.
That would pretty much be the plot of Maximum Overdrive - not one of Stephen King's best :)

You’re not saying anything I didn’t already know. However, thinking that all the Arab countries are filled with non sentient drones who cannot be blamed for anything that happens within their own countries is simplistic. The regimes in these places took power and aim to keep it. They’re not victims.
Yes I do know the history - I’m completely against this regime change too. I don’t support Israel or anyone else bombing anywhere, but that doesn’t change the current situation. If you’re female you would have a better life in Israel than Iran (or some other Arab countries) That’s just a fact.

You’re talking about two completely different conflicts and military scenarios. When a country attacks another they don’t instantly think “we really need to bomb the girls schools first to gain the advantage”. Iran obviously used the most incendiary propaganda so that people would spread it…
As far as I know, the military tatgets are far more obvious in Iran, and so targeting a random girls school when it would obviously be morally outrageous and indefensible and have zero strategic impact is ridiculous. Don’t blindly trust propaganda from any side.

I think people should realise there is going to be a LOT of disinformation from all sides now. Taking, at face value, Iran claiming Israel targeted a girl's school in their opening attack is frankly idiotic. They'd obviously go after military targets. I'm expecting Israel/US to blatantly lie also.
