I think the right finds it easy to hate trans women because they found something to be happy about tbh.
It's just misery wanting company

Wild how many republican leaders weren't cool enough to make it as theater kids so they decided to just be professionally racist instead
My point being: society's expressed values are fundamentally different from its actual values. And its super important to focus on the actual values.

"Oh but what about people who have [insert heinous crime]?"
Yeah man, you just described like half of the richest people on earth with that one.
A lot of people simply live in a fantasy tbh.
If you ask someone "what's the worst thing a person could be according to our society" they might list a handful of different things); all would likely be sorts of things that are tolerated more than being a trans woman tbh.
Do cis people know that HRT is like... medically necessary care and not just a gee wiz for fun thing
I have decided to be evil again (deck building)

A tweet that reads βThe new academic wealth gap isn't your university. It's not even your advisor's connections. It's who knows Claude can turn 50+ research papers into a thesis chapter in 3 hours and who's still manually coding qualitative data. I just watched a sociology PhD skip 8 weeks of analysis. Here are the 9 prompts they used:β
fuck this so much
we are so not prepared for the mountain of dogshit βscholarshipβ about to flood journals everywhere
You ever think about how evangelicals embrace of transphobia alongside an abandonment of belief in acts suggest a more general abandonment of a belief in a soul, and instead simply a belief in "godliness" as genetic birthright... in this essay I will
Offering a tax credit that wont show up for someone until as much as a year after they had to already have the liquid cash to buy a home, quite literally is a centrist policy that only helps the people just wealthy enough to buy a home already
I feel like we sort of collectively under-reacted to a US state revoking the IDs of an entire class of people overnight.
That is literal nazi shit
Not in any meaningful way tbh, plus, they are much more rational actors, and almost certainly wouldn't do a 9/11 type thing, more likely it would be targeting supply chains and letting the US deal with the consequences economically.
Americans love revenge, but they hate high gas prices more
Oh you think capitalism isn't innovative? Well, we just invented digital price tags that update store prices in real time to ensure the most racist outcomes possible with AI. Take that liberals
truly though the most useless jobs will get millions meanwhile a school teacher is living in a cardboard box
Capitalism is so innovative π
1970s: this fridge will last 100 years and survive a nuclear blast.
2026: a software update will lock you out of your fridge in 3 years but until then it has Twitter and will spy on you and your family.
Also a big driver behind this in the public is distrust
Hiring auditors to respond to fraud & waste is way more efficient and effective than trying to make sure it never happens by setting up a giant bureaucracy.
Most people aren't scammers, but the US never really recovered from "stranger danger"
It's a bit of both?
Tbh the military exists today mostly as a way to give government money to tech companies.
Phones wouldn't exist if DARPA hadn't paid for basically every individual component of them.
But since R&D was privatized abt 20 years ago, we haven't had the same speed of progress
I think its nearly impossible to agree on minutia online anyway. We only have short bits to talk about big things and so invariably we have to leave much unsaid
The worst part is, if one teacher makes a bad curriculum that impacts maybe 20-30 kids at a time. But if a big curriculum company decides kids dont need to learn phonics anymore... well. Then half the country doesnt know how to read within a decade
Teachers used to do their own curriculum.
Now, there are giant companies that do all that for them, that require contracts, lawyers, consultants, etc.
All because "teachers are so busy now" all because districts are spending so much on administration (managing those contracts etc.)
As for the other scams I mean...
Means testing a program requires tons of multilayered bureaucracy. Universal programs not so much at all.
What does an internet company really do that wouldn't be better served as a public utility?
Winning capitalism is about getting between ppl and needs
Nearly a million people work directly for health insurance companies. Those companies also have real estate contracts and service contracts etc.
Hospitals employ tons of people just to work with those insurance companies.
Government employs tons of people to work with industry.
Then non profits..
Just think for a moment about all the jobs that sort of dont need to exist.
Now think of the ones that definitely do need to exist
Who tends to have those jobs? How many of them are there?
Get rid of means testing & you get rid of not only the industry around it, but also the band aid non-profits
The single and only reason democrats dont want universal Healthcare is because if you start going in that direction you realize that nearly half of all employment in the US is due to what are essentially just scams.
I wish democrats would stop operating on Republicans' false pretenses.
Republicans dont care about Healthcare "fraud" they just dont want minorities to have access to government services.
"Oh I hate standard time because the days are shorter" thats just winter my guy.
"Oh I like DST because there is more evening sun" just wake up earlier man.
Idk why morning people insist on dictating everyone else's schedule
Seeing people arguing about daylight savings is so annoying because despite the fact that there is an obvious and objectively right answer, many people genuinely believe we should force *everyone* to wake up an hour earlier for their enjoyment, or that clocks control how long days are.
Hey, I didn't like that post you wrote so I told chat GPT to write a response for me and this is what it said [5 part thread].
No I didn't read it myself, thats your chat gpt's job
