Ohh yeah, those were ubiquitous weren't they?! 👀🙄 Also where did The Jocks & The Geordies pop-up?? I remember having no clue whatsoever about the context of that rivalry in my childhood.

Ooh of course! Yeah my memory is not what it was... I was just happy to find Chalky and also Cliff Hanger still being printed back then.

Do I remember right that eventually the Buster/Whizzer & Chips merger rolled up Topper, Beezer and some others too to become Big Comic fortnightly? That was a chunky publication.
The blatant Islamophobia that Keir Starmer is demonstrating through smearing Mothin Ali would be shocking - but it's becoming a pattern.
Smearing a caring man of principle for standing up for peace.

Yeah, I never liked Friends. I was just joining in with a joke, whereby a dreary synopsis of the TV show Friends is juxtaposed with an image of a different show entirely. There are very few stoats or weasels in sitcoms about over-privileged New Yorkers.
"Friends" is a beloved American sitcom that aired from 1994 to 2004, following six young adults—Rachel, Ross, Monica, Chandler, Joey, and Phoebe—living in New York City. The show explores their friendships, romances, careers, and personal growth over ten seasons.
JK Rowling pledges to keep up fight against SNP trans policies Author vows to bankroll campaigners after Scottish government fails to pay group's legal fees in Supreme Court equality case
It cannot be made clearer.
If you continue to support the Harry Potter franchise in any way, you are directly funding the removal of trans people's human rights in the UK.

If the BBC can't survive without me and mine purchasing a TV licence and the BBC refuses to stop using slurs to refer to me and mine, it is the BBC and not me that has failed in this regard.
Boromir from THE LORD OF THE RINGS, holding The One Ring. He thought he could use it for good, but everything done with the ring turns to evil. He was one of the mightiest warriors of middle earth, and he could not resist its powers. Others even mightier fell to the ring. Do you think you are stronger than them? The One Ring is generative AI.
Techbros seem to love Tolkien, so here's an analogy to help you understand what genAI is.
GenAI is The One Ring. You think your use is justified, b/c you don't have evil in your heart.
But it came from evil, it is intended for evil purpose, & anything you do with it will be twisted to that end.
What does it mean, if the national equality body aggressively pursues discrimination; if the energy regulator rubber-stamps huge price hikes; if the water authority does nothing about shit in the rivers and the press regulator occasionally ticks off a newspaper? What is the purpose of “regulation”.
'Biological' male or female used for trans+ people is misgendering and not neutral, it's a slur. It doesn't matter if a judge said it.
Media folk using it are doing a similar thing to interviewing racists and not just repeating their slurs in quotes but adopting them themselves.
It needs to stop
Make this your mantra: You won’t regret it.

For years, I’ve known that Maitlis was a key player in the institutional and orchestrated attacks on Trans+ youth
Now, emboldened and clearly unrepentant, she's flaunting her complicity
The world can now see her for who she is - someone willing to weaponise their power against the vulnerable
There are young Trans+ people on suicide watch today because of what this woman has done

What's fascinating here is that as she rhymes off the list of gender critical people at Newsnight pursuing an explicitly gender critical agenda, in the context of a discussion of ideological capture at the BBC, she doesn't recognise that she was part of the ideological capture of the BBC by GCs.
I literally just listened to this episode and found this whole exchange absolutely shocking. The shared agreement from the presenters that forcing the closure of the ONLY place young trans people could go get the support they needed was somehow positive... utterly monstrous.
you can just go ask crows stuff instead of asking chatgpt
A copy of The Notwitches: Prison Break next to a lit-up Halloween pumpkin wearing a witch's hat.
For Halloween I'd love to gift one of my followers on here a free copy of my new book, The Notwitches: Prison Break, signed by me and Dotty Sutton. If you fancy it, just like this post (and follow me if you don't already). Shares very much appreciated, obvs. UK-based people only, I'm afraid.
