Hyperlink text should make sense when read out of context. Screen reader users can navigate from link to link, and can listen to links in a list. When navigating this way, only the link is read. So "click here" or "read more" won't make sense.

Quickest unfollow in my life. Also, not surprised at all.
The one that demanded I come to the office to launch a website when I was home with my sick 2 year old.
But also the best. Because that was the day I quit and built my business.
Every time there’s a threatened #TikTok ban…
Me: “Do you know what can’t ban you? Your website.”
Build a one simple page website, email list, plug your other social media platforms and cross post your content.
Quit putting all your eggs in one basket. ✨
No opportunity is worth compromising our values.
Inclusive Culture, Positive Impact, and Community Development will always be the core of who we are.
Discrimination and racism has no place here. EVER.
Zero tolerance for intolerance.
They were talking about me. Then I saw a disgusting racist term in reference to my name and the LA Watts riots. 👇
One of our core values is fostering an inclusive culture. Yesterday, a potential client was sharing their screen and accidentally showed a Slack message with another team member who was also on the call. 👇
IKEA is our favorite date spot. When we are done buying things we can’t pronounce, we get Swedish meatballs.
One of my favorite things about being a brand designer is unexpectedly seeing our client’s brand out in the wild.
Also, it makes my heart swell three times its size when I see them following their brand guidelines too! 🫶🏼
Staring at our website content and realizing it doesn’t fit with our brand messaging anymore.
✅ Add brand content strategy and website rewrite to 2025 Q1 goals.
I always want to change it up too! But I don’t want to confuse the users. They are are so used to the three bar menu.
Love this. 🫶🏼 We are a women-owned WordPress web design agency. We offer branding and other stuff too. But WordPress is at our core.
I’ve launched fewer projects this year than last, but that was the plan. My goal was to redefine Crushing Pixels—I felt stuck in the hamster wheel and needed to step back from client work to build a stronger foundation & team. I’m starting to come together and excited for what’s next!
My first CMS was Moveable Type, and my first e-commerce site was on CS Cart. Started with WordPress in 2007/2008.
The first graphics program I used was PaintShop Pro 4.0. 🤣 I would love to find some of my old files and see what 1998/1999 me was designing.
Transitioned to Adobe Photoshop 7.0 around 2005.
The first website I coded was on Windows 95. I still have the install disk. I also remember being blown away that we needed 6-8GB Hard drive to install WinXP. That seemed huge back then!
The first computer I ever coded on was a Commodore 64/128. I remember coding little color plots in a x,y grid to make a picture. I also remember using a timer function to make the white colored plots move down the screen, like snow. I was in 6th grade and can’t remember the name of the program.
I’ve been running Win11 for a year or so. Some of the UI changes messed up my workflow. Like right clicking on files in Explorer and not seeing all options, forcing us to make second click to view the remainder.
No performance issues: AMD Ryzen 7 3700X & 128GB Ram. I’m a tab junky too.
Link text should be able to stand on its own, so the user knows without ambiguity what clicking the link will do.

A group show and tell? I’m happy to reschedule my spotlight for a Kyle plugin exclusive. 🤣
Living in Arizona, we sleep with the windows open when it’s 39F.
Probably because it’s a hot sweaty armpit the other 9 months of the year.
Food is a great motivator. 🤣
You got this!! I keep promising myself a whole pumpkin pie and fork if I empty my to-do list by Friday.
I wish it was just the settings. She’s dead dead. No ring of light, no signal, nothing. She was a good girl for the past 7 years. It was time she was put out to pasture.
Anyone else on overdrive this week to get all the things done so we can enjoy our families next week? That entrepreneur life is wild.
Our office Orbi mesh network finally died today. Do we get another Orbi setup or is Eero the way to go these days? @ #networking #smallbusiness #officespace #wifi #internet #officesetup
