Elevation is about to go LIVE on the big social media sites (not Bluesky, sadly) for our Founder's Day fundraiser! I'll be on in a minute talking about composing for this amazing ensmble.
I'll be playing a short Advent concert at 12:15pm on Wednesday December 3 at the Church of the Holy Trinity, Rittenhouse Square. Music by Samuel Scheidt, Melissa Dunphy, Max Reger, Kile Smith, and Hugo Distler.
Here's the organ dedication concert I played Sunday at St. Stephen's Episcopal Cathedral, Harrisburg PA.
I'm excited to be playing a concert this Sunday to dedicate the new organ at St. Stephen's Episcopal Cathedral in Harrisburg at 4:00. Whenever I've had the honor of dedicating a new organ, I always try to push the instrument to its limits and use every sound available. It should be a joyful event!
Sunday's Evensong:
Evensong today at 4! Includes one of my favorite settings of the canticles - Howells' St Paul's service.
It was wonderful to spend last weekend with Elevation and the lovely people of St. Francis Xavier church in NYC.
I am totally pumped for Elevation's concert this weekend in New York City! We're performing everything from classical (FaurΓ© Requiem, yours truly on organ) to gospel (yours truly on keys).

The choir of Christ Church, Philadelphia sang my Evening Service in F this month for their Evensong. It's a rather challenging piece and therefore hasn't been performed much. They did a fantastic job and I'm so happy this piece continues to be sung.

Thanks to our guest performers and audience members for a great month of music!
My new composition "Zephyrspell Rhapsody" for solo flute and orchestra was premiered on Sunday by the Montgomery County Orchestra, conducted by David Fitzpatrick with soloist Anna Meyer. Bravo and Thank You to all performers! Here is the live recording:

If you need to find restore some hope in humanity, please come and be Elevated by these amazing musicians.
Play On Philly asked me to make an arrangement of the Star Spangled Banner for them to play at the Phillies - here they are playing it!
The current state of things has really weighed heavily on me, so I've been not posting much, but after a great weekend of rehearsals, I'm going to try to be more active again on social media. Not sure if anybody reads these anyway!
Here is a NO KINGS (flag day?) concert I did earlier this summer.
Elevation is headlining ACDA East, and one of my works will be premiered at this concert!
Excited to be a part of this project - my first video game soundtrack! This is a NES inspired game, and therefore its music is also NES inspired, using the same sounds that made up the soundtrack of my childhood. Coming soon to the regular gaming markets.
This is a casual concert - children welcome. Hoagies will be served afterwards; RSVP at the link so we can get a head count.
Music includes "Fanfare For the Common Man" by Copland, "Star Wars" by John Williams, "America" by Charles Ives, and "The Stars and Stripes Forever" by Sousa.
Looking for something worthwhile to do on Sat June 14? Come to the Episcopal Cathedral's Flag Day concert at 1030 and celebrate our King-Free country. It's free, only 45 minutes; you'll have plenty of time to go to other patriotic activities, like the @indivisiblephl.bsky.social rally in Love Park.
Proud to announce that my oldest will be going to Cornell!
I am honored that the Montgomery County Chorale and Orchestra will be playing my orchestral composition "Prelude and Chorale" this Sunday. It is based on a wildly vivid dream I had in 2023, where I heard music so loud (in my dream) that it woke me up. It is dedicated to my parents.
Video from Sunday's Evensong highlighting the plight of the refugee.
Philadelphia Episcopal Cathedral Evensong this Sunday at 4. Glorious music from diverse sources, with a special focus on refugees.
Huge thanks to the wonderful people in the Military Bands who sacrificed their own time and money to make this amazing event happen. Despite the filth that is flowing from this country's traitorous upper leadership, true patriot Americans like these musicians will step up and do what is good.
