I do check a few of them pretty regularly but others I tend to not look at as often.

Moss as a part of a name is something that makes it through more often especially with sports and politics where it might just be a bunch of last names in a post.

Fixing it now - sometimes unexpected types of moss happens 😂

Reminder that if you regularly post photos with no alt text I may put you on a list of accounts that won’t show up on the feeds I’ve built.

I would love for you to be accessible too but that’s not the only reason for alt text.

I want these feeds to stay on topic when I’m only filtering w/words.

I need to do a cleanup pass on the feed again soon. The moss related names are one of trickiest bits to catch because some people end up with Moss as a one word nickname and other times it's a name combination I didn't expect. 😎

There are a number of ways to build feeds & this is only one of them.

But hopefully this video answers some questions people might have about the simplest feeds I've set up.

Added some Regex that will hopefully catch all of the Modx mentions (and then removed mentions of Yamaha) so hopefully that will catch them in the CMS feed now. 😎

Right now using Skyfeed.app but will (maybe over this week) explore self hosting & others builder options just to get familiar with them.

This one it helps if you understand Regex.

There’s another some people have started using that is supposed to be simpler. I’m more likely to want more complex.

FWIW, you'll be seeing some adjustments in the unofficial Wordpress feed here because it's made it to a place where it's not as useful to me.

I want this feed to be more conversational & less sales pitch.

I can point anyone who wants something different to various Bluesky feed building resources.

Hopefully in the next few weeks I'll be able to get to a few of my Bluesky projects. Including creating backup alts for some of the most popular feeds I've created in case any one system goes down.

I have a few other projects in mind too.

It’s a bit tricky getting all the names and all the misspellings of the names sometimes. (There’s also one Moss celeb I still deliberately let through because everyone seems to find it funny and it hasn’t taken over the feed yet.)

I am seeing people do artshares and some other things here from time to time that just expand the reach for artists too.

Each feed is different.

Moss is currently a “simpler” regex setup (though if people excessively spam the feed I have ways of blocking to keep it mostly on topic.)

Some feeds use hashtags & others are actually trained algorithms. I’m looking at doing image training for moss but haven’t done it yet.

Just fyi, if you manage to notice feed spam before me, just let me know & I'll try to take care of it.

With the influx of people + work I'm not always noticing things on all 10+ feeds.

(I need an interface that's like some SMM apps where I can give different permission levels to more people.)

Just a heads up. My feeds are currently built on @skyfeed.app & the upgrades mentioned here should hopefully mean Moss feed (and more) will be back online soon!

I added “moos” to the feed. Since I don’t know German, if I have trouble keeping it on topic I may remove that word but for now it looks like I’ve just added more green nature to the moss feed. 😎

Hopefully I won’t regret this but I added the German word for moss to the moss feed. “Moos” photos will now show up.😎🟢 (If it becomes difficult to keep on topic I may change it back.)

I do know some hashtags are also being used by some people now so should be a bit easier all around than when I built this feed. Might try my hand at some regional feeds in a few months when things are a little less busy.😎

It was set up on a whim & it wasn't my first feed but it has been my most popular feed.

And thank you to @redsolver.dev 's @skyfeed.app which made it possible for me to do it very early with just an understanding of regex.

I have applied a lot of the filters that I’ve applied to the moss feed so it should now be more on-topic (not perfect but not shockingly off-topic.)

I haven’t checked on this feed in a few months and probably need to add some additional code to clean up the influx of new types of posts.

There ARE words that do keep posts out. And most people named/nicknamed Moss I typically add to a removal list.
