miku isn't ai. vocaloid isn't ai. synthv is not ai. the majority of vocal synths aren't ai. modern ones use algorithms to emulate the incredibly complex formant modulation between phonemes. is it not generative and using vsynths takes an incredible amount of skill. vsynths do not replace vocalists.
something I really like about Earthbound-likes is how on the nose they are with their influences. You WILL know exactly which rpgmaker games they love.

the hard part about biphasic sleep is that I'll wake up at 4am and hours later I'll be like "man what a log day" and I'll look at the clock and it's 1pm

how did Fruits Basket of all things get such a great remake? trigun should have been a no brainer.
the original trigun anime was crusty but it at least took the time to establish characters. I can't imagine caring about anyone in Stampede unless you were already familiar with the original lol
at the very least if you run a discord community for your patrons don't auto boot people from your server the second they can no longer afford it lol
walled communities make sense in some contexts but there shouldn't be a financial barrier unless you're receiving some sort of actual service, and not just the opportunity to talk to other like minded people. It's cruel to ransom access to friends and community and shared knowledge.
A thing I don't see talked about much that worries me about modern social media is the infrastructure already exists to financially gatekeep small and mid sized hobbyist communities. Patreon, Discord, etc all have supporter only community features.
