I am sick of the cold. Can I heat up the planet by saying "Thank you" to the AI? ... I should ask the AI about that π
Can you believe it? Its alreay March! Get your Java Prank game on for the best April Fool's prank in your team. Use the Music Maven Plugin to prank your colleagues and bring some fun to the office. Or just play elevator music during long builds like my friend Josh Long!

I am proud and grateful to be named IBM Champion once more. Next to the awesome Java tech IBM has, they have fantastic people working on Java and the IBM Champions program. Technology works best with a vibrant community. Thank you to Libby, Kathryn, Namitha, and Claudia for caring for the community.
We, in the software world, have been doing agile development for 25 years. Now, teachers in Bavaria can do the same. With BYLES they can track the success of their lessons and adapt to get the best learning success for their students. Of course, built with Java ;) www.youtube.com/@cof...
Just do code reviews and pull requests, and everything will be fine... right?
Johannes Rabauer shares his experiences with bad code reviews and what helped teams really get value and joy from reviews and pull requests.

Later, I got certified as a Scrum Master and Product Owner.
What a journey! Today, I am still learning and curious about what the next evolution for agile will be.
Even though the ideas are simple, implementing them meaningfully with different organisations was challenging.
In 2015, I was a Co-founder of SCRUMtisch Weiden, a meetup focused on SCRUM and agile software development. We had people coming from over 100km away to learn together and exchange ideas.
At XDEV, we have always worked "agile" with focus on people and interactions over processes and tools and Responding to change over following a plan (we did a lot of random things). It took a while to figure out that there was a whole movement around that.
On the 25th anniversary of the Agile Manifesto, I had the pleasure of meeting signatory Alistair Cockburn at OOP in Munich.
Agile software development has been a guiding principle in my work for over 20 years.
Proud moment: XDEVβs CEO @richard.fichtner.dev is one of only 16 Featured Speakers at #JavaOne.
For our customers, that means earlier insight into where Java is heading, smarter modernization decisions, and a partner deeply connected to the ecosystem.

It's always fun to hang out with you! Thanks for having me on the show! π€
I have to rewatch the John Wick Movies to better understand what I can do with this coin. I will keep an eye out for a secret door at JavaOne. Or maybe I have to put it back into a treasure chest to be mortal once more. Find answers to this and other Questions around Java at javaone.com

CSS has been haunting people for over a hundred years . As you can see in the Stockholm City Hall. The knight on the top is missing its head. But back then, people just shipped it without any AI to blame. Brave folks these Swedes.
On my way to Stockholm for Jfokus! I am looking forward to connecting with the Java Community in Sweden!

If you never pause, you confuse activity with effectiveness. Make time to think. Walk outside. Sit quietly. Create space. Then move again, but this time on purpose." - James Clear
Well said ... I will take that advice and pause for the holiday season. I am looking forward to what awaits us in 2026!
"Reflection requires stillness.
One cost of rushing from thing to thing is that you lose the space to think. Hard work matters, but nonstop motion often hides a quiet truth: you could have used your time better.
