you know you've found the good part of youtube when the video has a total of 130 views and has a title like this youtu.be/HlTNx-vZyr0?...
I had only listened to the audio book - now I need to check the book out from the library to see what else I missed
Not only that, but she reads it on the audible version!
The pure and simple looks chaotic

or perhaps just order 20 of this 11mm x 11mm circuit that costs $30 shipped and add it to whatever device I want

super impressive!
Here is some π± trick (and code!)
When placing object randomly using Math.random() they often clump together and overlap and create empty gaps. Can we do better? Yes!
Hammersley point set to the rescue. For given N it creates N pseudo random numbers in the range [0..1, 0..1] almost event. spaced.

led me down the rabbit hole of zephyr, openhaystack, nRF52840, ...
luckily I had ordered a few NRFs from seeedstudio with my last esp32 purchase
Now I need to see if a 3+ year old project zephyr-openhaystack still works well enough for a noob

ahh... so this is how you connect the bottom of the seeedstudio xiao boards (battery / extra GPIO on certain boards) that aren't on the edges.
You have a via (I think they are called) and pcb cut!
I have hated soldering wires to this module to connect the LIPO battery...

Writing the post above I realized a chamfer is a chamfer regardless of when I do it
If I chamfer the rib part before I "curve pattern", or after - it is still the same chamfer...
Let this be a lesson to you! Just think a little bit about what you are REALLY doing...
duh... a chamfer is a chamfer
Testing out various ways to design this "ribbed" side pattern in a curve-y shape in #onshape.
The left part was designed with the rib having the designed shape. The right was box-y until I chamfered at the end.
The end result looks the same!
one just had 3x the number of clicks to chamfer
why use a printer when you can use a #penplotter

Why havenβt there been many new UX / interaction advancements for LLMs?
Feels like weβre stuck in the chat paradigm when there could be so much more.
In 2025, embrace non deterministic outputs, and leverage them to go where you never thought you could.
awesome.
Inspired by prints like that I thought it would be cool to have the heights be generative art (more than just randomness) or a city structure

By making the featurescript take an offset, you could generate/print pieces of one big scene and assemble on wall

I probably should have reviewed all of #genuary2025 prompts before deciding I'm going to do them in #onshape featurescript / 3d print medium
