I received a Reactr request to check out The Patriot and it was awesome to watch another one of Heath Ledger's performances. Jason Isaacs was also fantastically terrible in this one.

Over the weekend, I shared my reaction to V for Vendetta! A wild movie to watch for the first time in this current political climate. π Hugo and Natalie's performances were fantastic, as well as John Hurt's. Very glad I watched it. youtu.be/UJnaQZKyd2w
It was fun to see these actors portray these characters and I fell in love with the retro-futurism aesthetic they created for this movie! youtu.be/YGR-1iNQT2Y
I, Robot pulled ahead on a member-curated Patreon poll at the last minute! I had technically seen this back in 2004, but remembered nothing except what you see on the movie poster. This was typical mid-00s entertaining action! (AI gives me anxiety.) youtu.be/99Oxqr70OKE
Tell me your pets name with a GIF.
And Episode 2 is live on the channel now! π₯° youtu.be/D6y4d5mIPNQ
Loving Season 2 so far just as much as Season 1! Here's my reaction to the first episode, shared back in December: youtu.be/cXi2SJSIYFI
My dog, Soka, on her blanket and dog bed. She is a dark brown and white pitbull/Rottweiler mix. The camera is right in front of her and she is looking above the camera at me. Her ears are sticking out and her eyes are wide. She has a closed mouth. Portrait mode was used so the background of the image is very blurry.

Swift Scene Productions (recently rebranded to Studio 1123) have not paid me for the work I've done, have gone silent on the creator involved, and are ignoring all my attempts to contact and resolve.
I will remove this post upon payment being received.
I did that on a few videos back in 2023, but it is a bit of a hassle. The only time I really went hard on doing that was when I found a channel that was literally re-uploading all of my videos in their entirety. That was easy to get YouTube to remove because it wasn't compilations or anything.
Yep, this is a huge thing in the movie/TV react space as well. I hate it.
Watching doc about resilience that reaffirms many changes I made last few years to my mental outlook (I read a LOT of brain books). Brains are hallucination engines. If the story is the world is shit, everything is fucked, brain reframes every interaction this way. It impacts behavior; shuts us down
Valid. I also want to stick to one site too!
Ooh, this platform looks neat. I moved to Storygraph from Goodreads last year, but I'm intrigued to check out more platforms. Hardcover is the other one I've checked out, and while I love the UI, how they update your progress towards goals doesn't quite work for me so I won't use it.
Also.. I kinda dropped the ball badly here at sharing new reactions over the last month. In between my last share (Final Reckoning) and today's, I've posted:
- National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation
- Scrooged
- The Hudsucker Proxy
- The last two eps of Band of Brothers + the documentary
My first reaction on the channel this year is to my #1 to-watch movie from Rob Reiner's work. I watched this a few days after we found out of his and his wife's tragic passing.
It was as lovely as I knew that it would be and funnier than I expected it would. Check it out here: youtu.be/_dw9Zf8wcJ4
Big same! I am committed to buying zero new games from now until the 2026 Steam Winter Sale. I have so many games that I've never installed or launched, so I'm eager to finally tackle a bunch of them.
Yeah, very emotional and lovely gift. π₯° One of the best I've ever received.
The reference photo:
My Mom holding up a cross-stitch of my dog Ella, who passed in Oct 2023. The photo used to make the pattern is a close-up of Ella's face while she was in the backseat of a vehicle. She is resting her chin on the back of the seat.
A close photo of the cross-stitch, showing Ella's eyes and nose, to highlight the intricacies of the cross-stitch.
My Mom poured many hours of love into completing these 70,803 stitches (with 49 different colours of thread). I love it so much. She's going to build a frame for it. We miss you Ella. (This was also her first time ever doing a photo-to-pattern project.) π₯°
This, combined with finding an old photo on my phone from six years ago of a grocery store receipt and *sobbing internally* at the difference in prices compared to now...
We are living in such bleak times.
I don't know if that is Amazon going "Hey, we saw you bought this last year and predicted you might again, so we're charging you a higher price." or if it's just part of the general price increases on fucking *everything*, but I ended up finding cables from another brand for $11.99 ea. so I got two.
My Micro HDMI to HDMI cable that I use for my camera broke last night. It was purchased in Sept 2024 for $11.67. Normally I would just complain about the fact that it only lasted 15 months, but to repurchase the exact same one is now $16.64. π«
My motivation to continue regular streaming on Twitch has dropped off a cliff since the summer and I'm deeply sorry for that. I am experiencing the same feelings that I did back at the end of 2023, which ultimately resulted in a decision to stop streaming in January 2024. At the time, I thought that was going to be a permanent step away from Twitch, but after one year I missed it and decided to come back. While 2025 started off strong, I have ended up back in that same place again. This means that it's officially time for me to say goodbye to my Twitch chapter for good. HOWEVER, I would really like to finish my RDR2 playthrough for you all. It doesn't feel right to step away before that game is completed. Instead of having a Twitch schedule, I will go live when I can and stream for longer than I would when I had the schedule. My next RDR2 stream will be on Dec 14 at 14:00 MST. I would like to stream for 4 hrs. I will eventually get the rest of the playthrough uploaded to YouTube. I've been mega slacking on that - it's been a low-priority sadly. I will no longer be streaming Dragon Age: The Veilguard, or any other game. I have decided to continue through DAV on my own time. When I want to share updates on my playthrough, or a playthrough of any other game that I get into, I'll do so in Discord. I apologize for the bummer news. I've been trying to figure out a good balance and I've realized that I don't think it's possible. My reaction work is fairly demanding and takes up a lot of my time. Outside of that, I've been craving more and more off-screen activities and hobbies. Any time I do want to game, I just want to enjoy it for myself without any pressure of having to talk/be entertaining. I would also like to be able to game for 30 mins when I want to, which is far easier to fit into my life when I don't have to set up a stream. Sorry for the novel. Thank you all so much for the support on that platform over the last year, and all the years prior. I so appreciate it.
Update about my Twitch streams:
My next Band of Brothers video is out now! Episodes 7 + 8. youtu.be/d6wBsbZQU3U
Aaaand Paramount swooped in and blocked this one, even though I had a watermark. π« Will be around 3 weeks or so before it's back up, as I'm appealing/counter-notifying.
And today my Mission: Impossible journey comes to a close. youtu.be/hjR59Go6TaI
