Any senior .NET devs looking for a new gig? We’ve got openings doing some pretty impactful stuff.
My DMs are open.
I replaced all the app icons on my iPhone and iPad with widgets, and it's been extremely helpful in reducing distractions. I am also leveraging shortcuts and focus modes; and I thought I would share the process with you:

Oh yeah - I have a Black Friday thing going on that you can also gift, if you're interested. Trying to rev up my content game again :) because it's fun and I want it to be my job again...

I should add that by "failed" I mean it did the absolute bare minimum I asked of it. I know this is how Gemini works, but having to add so many extra prompts to "goose" an answer feels... clanky. I know there are others who like Gemini a lot - if you're one of them, what am I missing?
Tried out Gemini 3 with all the VS Code tools and it was really really not good. The Code Assist extension crashed 5 times and then refused to start *at all*. I then put Gemini 3 up against Claude on a not-so-simple task and my goodness it failed miserably.
Yeah they were sparking heavy the entire race. Wild!
My advice is to always ruin the friendship.
Just passing through omw back from NDC Porto
Ok so my girlfriend just rode her massive suitcase down the ramp at SEATAC to passport control. Just like a scooter! This is too weird to read!

Congratulations my friend! What a great day for you!
Yeah that can be painful. Maybe a standing desk would help
It's a challenge, but I do find that believing most people are kind and thoughtful helps me get through life a bit better. Assigning rudeness to an overused phrase could be warranted, but it could also be a silly habit from work or living in Los Angeles for too long :D.
A verbal habit that I really dislike is when people end a sentence with "right?" or "remember?". Instead of saying "You didn't feed the dog dammit" someone might say "I asked you to feed the dog, right?" which is full of condescending ick for me.
Another one I've been snapped at before is "if you think about it...", which of course implies your listener *isn't* thinking about whatever the topic is. I think it's useful to not get trapped in the literal; English is weird.
I do agree that it *can* sound rude if you take the words literally, but in the context of a conversation it can be helpful to anchor what you're currently saying to a previous statement, e.g. I could be telling you I love cats, but "like I said earlier" I also love dogs. Especially yours :).
Wey aye man! Born an’ bred doon the Toon!
How fun! Now you can go pubbing in Newcastle and understand the Geordie!
Master your own domain!
If you've ever had to proof a docs page or "make sure the code runs on the README", I made a video for you...

Oh you like theater? I hear that Hades Town is quite good. Have you seen that one?
Wouldn’t that be the “Painbow Bow”?
Wow Spotify. Thanks for the daylist?
My friend Al and I quite literally just had this conversation LOL
Pecan doesn't get her own tent this time? Damn Rob that's gorgeous. So fun you can do a half-Munro like that :).
I'm in search of a waffle maker so I can make a fried rice waffle which sounds crazy but ... well watch the video: youtu.be/1BeHOd98Uos?...
Not just blueberries apparently. And with quite a British response...
You had to pull me into this didn't you! I asked it to write an algorithm to count out the b's leetcode style and it corrected itself! The second part is kind of weird tho
