wonderful, quite reminiscent of gilbert williams' "Orbs" www.gilbertwilliamsart.com/g-a-l-l-e-r-...
finally uploaded my remaster of todd edwards' "full on" (2001) youtu.be/ULd2oDFIBng @toddedwards3000.bsky.social
do send those crash reports, they read and act on them if it's something ableton can fix. however if plugdata is doing something wonky it should be fixed on that end..
www.duplication.com/index-tape.php is what a lot of folks there use
not worth the effort getting those, they are mostly for dubbing speech tapes so quality is atrocious
any good? looks decent price wise
i got the et-8550 a few months ago and it's been a dream for sure
whats that round cutter thingy
the left side of the picture was meant to be filled in as land originally. this whole route is a mistake
i mean its kinda cool conceptually but after 10km it just gets to be a slog. especially if you chance upon a time when the cafe midway is closed, which is most of the year
idk it's boring as hell out there. not my fave trip
this rules
i'll put it up a bit later, it's a bit of a mess rn and i'm fixing some rendering bugs. it's using happy-dom and css-tree under the hood and i'm doing the rendering myself with everything being a flexbox element in yoga. most of the code is just translating these into cell drawing operations
no animations don't work, i don't wanna make a whole fancy renderer and deal with optimization at least right now
this is officially a Silly Project. regular html/css and svelte reactivity rendered in a tty using a standard stylesheet which is overrideable. stuff like gradients, borders, focus states, overflows/scrolling + css variables work, with popover api support as well
yep indeed
doing silly things like making svelte run in a TTY with full reactivity and css support
creams all over your sound
new album, "honest" with naima on saxophone
two vertical spaces to breathe in. towering, open and warm. unattended yet lived in, with nooks and crannies to explore

i like that this place has contiguous paint unlike that other place
listening to toshifumi hinata's chat d'ete after playing two point museum feels like a continuation
this is the delay lama of today. in 15 years there will be kids looking fondly back at this
the thing i like about it most is that you can break any sort of conventions in it, so it shows people's ambitions and their range of expressiveness, and how they think about structure and communication. i find the computerakustische klangsinfonie and other erdenklang stuff super advanced still
it's kind of unique cuz it did suffer a real glut of crap, the slop of its day. the windham hill label post BMG acquisition and gas station tape selections of a guy with a guitar and a synthesizer doing scales. but there's real gems in there
Recording Guitars at Imaginary Road When I ask for his thoughts on how to capture a great acoustic guitar sound in the studio, Ackerman offers a strategy not exactly practical for most of us. βSell a record company for millions and millions of dollars, and have your collection of financial advisers telling you that you need to spend a lot of money right now,β he says. βAnd you go and find incredibly expensive matched pairs of Neumann microphones and then take them to Klaus Heyne at German Masterworks and have him buff them up even further.β
fair enough
i can't resist a new age discussion. tried to include different aspects of the genre, though that one comp does a lot of heavy lifting with the selection. it's an interesting genre. tons of small label releases from tiny artists that go all over & the worst commercial stuff is mostly forgotten about
