My fav video of the day is the very sunny "The Springtime Reminds Me Of..." by Touch Girl Apple Blossom. This K records-approved jangly twee act is on tour now and their album comes out in May.

Sex Mex, Jackoffs, & Junkyard Royalty at Howdy 3/10.
I want to go to the Sex Mex/ Jackoffs/ Junkyard Royalty show at Howdy tonight but I know it's going to be packed and that sounds more like more than I can handle right now. But you should go. Or go next door to Farewell for Bloodsports/ Nightosphere/ Virga/ Granule as that'd be a good time too.
Honeywagen and Gary Charlson preached the Too Much Rock gospel at a neighborhood dive bar. Photos, video, and the full sermon:

Contemporary country audiences embracing dynamic performers like Adeem the Artist gives me hope. Here they are performing Cory Branan's "Steppin' Outside." I'll get photos, video, and my thoughts of the show up on Too Much Rock if you care to like and follow.

Honestly I moved downtown for that very damn reason. There's no longer a theater in KC's spine. In the last 20 years we've lost AMC/Alamo/B&B Main, Tapcade, Screenland Westside, several Westport Tivolis, and Cinemark Plaza. Now we REALLY need to speed up that streetcar to Screenland Armour
Legit question for rural Americans - How do I haul the carcasses of the 30-50 feral hogs that ran into my yard?
It was your fault. You were jealous I could walk to a theater from my house! That bus up to Screenland only runs once an hour. :(
Google search shows B&B Theatres Mainstreet KC at P&L is permanently closed.
Ummm what?!? Uhh how am I just learning about this. I skipped my movie last week, do you suppose this is my fault?
Busted drinking fountains at the home opener.

THURSDAY THROWBACK: On this day in 1999 I saw Sunny Day Real Estate, Heroic Doses, & MK Ultra (with a baby John Vanderslice!) at The Bottleneck in Lawrence, KS. I took photos with a vintage digital camera and I was kinda a dick. Why am I even sharing this? toomuchrock.com/shows/sunny....

Iowa's The Rumours knocked out the Hillsiders audience with a combo of rock 'n' roll turned punk, a great stage show, and tough f*ck-you feminism. Here's the trio's playing its latest single "San Francisco Coffee Shop Freakout."
